And what was the cop supposed to do? Use harsh language on him while he was eating a guy, and not only that, but eating a guy that was still alive?

We'd never hear the end of THAT. "MAN EATS SOMEONE, COPS DO NOTHING."

 

Tazer, pepper spray, nightstick, a good kick to the face maybe. Lethal force shouldnt be the first course of action.

He's fucking nuts. He's getting shot, because my duty is to protect (in order):

Myself (can't help anyone else if I'm dead)
The victim
The criminal (or, in this case, maniac).

 

The cop wasn't alone was he? Multiple armed police men should be able to subdue one crazy man. If it became apparent that lethal force was necessary after trying other options then it would be much more reasonable.

 

I can't say what I'd do in that situation. Probably the same thing.

You going to wait around for backup, when someone's being eaten alive? You have to protect yourself first. Then the victim. If you can do that without killing the perpetrator, then great. You can sleep at night for a while longer.

If not, well, shit happens. My sympathies are entirely with the victim.

 

Yep. And I bet the cop involved is still unable to sleep. He'll probably be fucked up for the rest of his life, given the circumstances.

People get this weird idea that cops salivate over the chance to shoot someone. It's not the case.

 

True. A lot of them won't even shoot an animal if there's another way to resolve the situation.

 

I think that some of that depends on the police culture in a given city/region. Here where I live, after decades of public unrest and lawsuits, there was recently a Federal investigation which resulted in the Feds ordering our police force to find ways to stop shooting unarmed and harmless civilians.

Cannibalism is becoming real, there is another incidents that are going on in Africa (Uganda) where cannibals are eating the all families, they invade the families at night and that is real, cannibalism is at large these days in the world

 

Yes many times they step out of line but sometimes pulling a trigger can save their lives too, can't you shoot that person you have just seen eating another persons face of when you have one to save?
