there's not hippie girls around your age. there's actual hippies who are now old, and there's teenagers who are looking for an identity so they try to copy what they saw in old movies about hippies. girls around your age, like other girls, look for an infinite variety of traits in a guy.
I actually disagree with that. I believe anyone who is an individual and doesn't conform could be loosely described as a hippy. The problem is that with far too many people, it's all about conforming to tired stereotypes that revolve around image more than anything else.
Call it whatever you want, but when I say hippie I mean into psychedelics, not into pop culture, television, etc., into spirituality, vegetarian/vegan. Not sure how else I would to refer to that kind of girl? Free-spirited maybe? It's just easy to refer to this kind of person as a hippie. I would love to hear from some hippie girls.
Let's be real, certain kinds of people are labelled with "hippie" all the time... I am one of them. Vegetarian, I love the GD, spiritual, naturally dreading.. Yeahh, why are you looking for a "hippie girl"? It seems like you're wishing to attract one.. by changing who you really are. And that is something you shouldn't do! Be yourself~ One thing I will say is.. beards are great. On every man.
I'm definitely not trying to change who I am. The reason I'm looking for a hippie girl is that I'm very attracted to hippie girls and even moreso than that...cuz I'm a hippie guy, lol. Pretty simple. And as for the beard I have a pretty good one going. I would upload a pic but I don't know how, hah.
Ok guys, I really appreciate you all taking the time to reply to my thread, but...this thread isn't about the meaning of the word hippie, lol. I only used the word hippie for general description purposes. You could debate what it means to be a hippie, or who is a hippie and who isn't to no end. How about this. I'm not looking for a hippie girl. I'm just looking for a counter-cultural girl who's into psychedelics, spirituality, intellectualism, veganism, etc., because I'm into all of those things as well. Let me word it that way to avoid confusion. I ask this here because there's a lot of girls who post on these forums that I would consider to be my type, and this is a great chance for me to meet one of them. I live in the conservative mid-west, and I've never come across this kind of girl. All the girls around me are 'OMG-pop-drama-party-mama' type girls, which I'm not into at all.
Their are hippies in every town man. They just don't come out in some places. Spend some time in a bigger town.
Thanks Foresting I appreciate the support...I'm growing a beard but get the impression a lot of women don't like them.So I might be decreasing my chances of getting a girlfriend...But I don't care...I love my beard.
Erm, well I'm classed as a hippie by some and I'm a girl. I dont like labelling myself though, I'm just me. I have no specific type when it comes to guys. I don't care about looks, I think everyone has something sexy about them, I'm into personality. My partner and I are really similar so we get lots of good conversation, also we have differences too which is cool because it means we can learn eachothers views and opinions, maybe have a debate. But he's fun too, and has a really loving heart. I'm vegan but hes a meat eater (although he was veggie and rarely eats meat now)... But we look/dress really different, he doesnt look 'hippie' whereas I do (in the opinion of others), I mean he has long black hair, a little beard, wears black basically everyday and I have bright red hair, growing dreadlocks, wear a mixture of bright and dark colours and patterns and usually barefoot. We also both have a love for cool hats and can often be seen walking together with him in a weird top hat or something and me looking like Pete Docherty Just find someone that suits you, rather than someone that suits a stereotype
Oh yeah! I forgot to mention, my boyfriend and I share similar tastes but dress completely differently. He's a ~skater boy~, hahaha. I agree with Mama, it's about personality and common interests most
This thread reminded me of last time I saw Rob Zombie in concert, which was only two years ago, he's still going, and he was pretty awesome in concert by the way. 3/4 the audience were chics, and of the non conventional variety, and they were going nuts for him. So yeah, if you want to see what they are into, go to a Rob Zombie concert
Some women will be turned off by it. But in turn others will be drawn by it. Ive noticed as my beard is getting longer I'm not getting attention from a lot of chicks I used to. But now a lot of chicks who never noticed me before are giving me attention. And it just so happens the chicks that dig the beard are the ones I enjoy being around anyway.
Hi :daisy: I'm a flower child very much into psychedelics, spirituality, love, veganism and my boyfriend is very different but I like that about him. I guess it's all about personal tastes, not every girl is into the same thing. Sometimes it's like yin and yang<3 tho I wish he would grow out his facial hair i love that.
Another good reponse, ty. I should upload a picture of myself to see what you guys think of my beard. It's nothing amazing, but I like how it looks
Money will get you more girls than a beard. Or money and a beard. I recommend going full pirate with the ladies.
