mean people on here

this site isn't what it used to be 4 years ago when i first joined...It was great to be able to find a space with likeminded folk and talk about interesting issues concerning all apects of things...the repetitive "I'm so high" or "you're all assholes ...look at me" threats have become too much. I've heard of nice people who've been on the forums for the same time leave cos it's getting really boring and tedious coming on the site and reading posts that insult you for no reason whatsoever.
i think some people juts need to grow up a little...it's juts a internet forum i know, but it was a great escape from reality, for me at least.

 

There are still plenty of good posts here. You just have to wade through a lot of debris. It's important that people don't leave because of all the annoyances, because then there won't be any balance and the Forums really will get crappy.

It's kinda how things go with the Internet. As this or that site becomes more popular it inevitably gets watered down or "ruined". You just to have to continue to add good posts and don't let the bastards grind you down.

 

What about us annoying little 14 year olds?

 

In the past I've gone through a forum group every two weeks. Why do I keep leaving them all? Because it gets tiring reading through post after post of STFU n00b, i'm so fscking l337 and edumacated (they were usually computer or gaming forums).

I was googling for footbagging sites when I came across a thread from hipforums. It looked neat so I started browsing around some of the threads. Finally! I think I've found a forum that I'll stick with! I've finally found a group of likeminded people who for the most part truly enjoy talking about things I like talking about and reading about.
I've only been here for a week or so, but so far I've loved most everyone's posts that I've read. Therefore I find it sad to run into close-minded people who say that it is specifically 16 year olds, 14 year olds, watever year olds causing the problem.
You guys really have a great group of people posting here so in order to preserve that I think it's important that you don't focus too much on negative people. If people posting negative comments are ignored they'll stop. Defending yourself is one thing but resorting to meaningless bitter batter is another.

 

Yeah, you can't tell them to leave, you just gotta ignore them. It's just like Bonnaroo. There were some people there that were so rude (one group of girls talked the entire dead show) I couldn't believe they were in the rain and just standing in a circle talking! Only thing I could do was move, so I did. That's like the hipforums. You can block the posts from the people you don't like, and you that saying, Everything good, can't last forever.....
