Alright, now here you go. Snooki is havign a law named after her apparently. The law would basically mandate that TV crews pick up the tab for extra police officers and security measures to help ensure that the craziness of "reality" TV shows does not get out of hand. Well, I guess if you are going to get something named after you, it might as well be a law? Here's an excerpt: ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- A New Jersey lawmaker wants towns to have a say in the filming of reality TV shows within their boundaries before a Situation develops. Ocean County Republican Assemblyman Ronald Dancer on Monday introduced legislation for a Snookiville Law. The law would let towns impose conditions including requiring TV crews to pay for additional police officers to assure public safety during filming. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/24/snooki-law_n_1910850.html
Oh, nothing against the law, but why does she "get credit" for it? This is going to boost her career? I am still of the firm belief that famous people should only have buildings, bridges, statues and sandwiches named after them...
One of our local cities is trying to get funds from the presidential candidates for all the extra protection that is paid by local taxpayers for all the events coming to their city. Apparently the Secret Service is forcing the locals to pick up the tab because they are underfunded. WTF! With all the millions that they are fund raising you would think they could pay for their own security.
Not to mention the poor bar owner that lost $25,000 in revenue because POTUS wanted a beer. "Thanks buddy, you can keep your CHANGE...." And he only drank one, cheap bugger. I woulda charged a lot more for that beer.
"A New Jersey lawmaker wants towns to have a say in the filming of reality TV shows within their boundaries before a Situation develops." I stopped after the annoying pun but the law sounds about right. However, why name it after her? The world would just be a better place if people like that didn't get any attention, at all. But then again, in my dream world, "reality TV" would be non-existent altogether.
Yes, but even "reality TV" is scripted... I mean, you honestly expect me to believe that the venues aren't told ahead of time the stars of the show are going to show up? For "real" reality TV, it needs to be 100% spontaneous. Of course that won't happen, because they want good ratings, and they put all the ideas before a panel before actually shooting.
Snooki law, eh? Kind of reminds me of the Miranda Rights. You know, Ernesto Miranda? I don't mind putting Snooki on the same level as a kidnapping rapist with an eye for minors. From the fingers of a minor.
Not sure I follow... How is Snooki on the same level.. I never watched the show, but I know she was kinda slutty lol. But kidnapping racist? Where do you draw that similarity from?
