No, he came out with another one that is very good called Oceanheart, in 1986, also on Sky Records. Also, around the same time, he started a sort of New Wave / Synth Pop band called Lilli Berlin, which they released four albums between 1981 - 1984. He has released a couple of albums under his own name since Oceanheart, but I've not heard them, and I'm not exactly sure I really want to, lol. They could be good for all I know, but for some reason he became sort of anti-analog and went completely digital, even so far as to give up real drums to play electronic drum sets. I'm friends with him on facebook, and talk to him sometimes, and when I see the newer stuff he is involved with posted, it doesn't seem really spectacular as his early stuff is. Another one to check out, which he was actually heavily involved in their first album (playing drums as a 'hidden' member, with a funny pseudonym credit, and he produced it) is a band called "You", which it's main brainchild besides Grosskopf is Udo Hanten, who I'm also friends with on facebook (he is VERY cool, and always takes time to talk to his fans). Check this song out, with Grosskopfs drumming... it's intense, it changes my pulse lol. I have their first two albums, still trying to get their third one. This came out in 1979, the same year as Synthesist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOYdFj9NcHk"]You - Electric Day - YouTube And this is from their second album, sadly the youtube uploader is playing this at the wrong fucking speed, like a total retard. But you'll get the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQNt41RCcK0"]YOU DEEP RANGE - YouTube
No problem man. And I'd really REALLY love to, and am hoping so, but I'm waiting to see what my paycheck is going to bring. As it is, if they decide to be fucks, I'm only getting $30 because I borrowed money, but I'm hoping they let it slide for now. I was just thinking this morning when I woke up how I can make it happen haha
I remember when a guy in what I assumed to be his early forties tried to take me home from the train station in center city when I was sixteen. I was homeless and had been drifting and was on my way back to my neighborhood and he noticed what kind of condition I was in and tried to offer me money, drugs and whatever else I wanted to come to his house and get cleaned up and, obviously, fucked like a whore. Check it out though, I played along like I was a dumb lost kid and had him take me to get cigarettes outside of the station (this was at Market East in Philadelphia, for anyone who has been there and can envision it) and then allowed him to hold my hand and walk me back to the train and buy us both tickets to his stop. I sat next to him on the train ride and he had his hand on my leg and kept rubbing my thighs and trying to lean his head on mine, and when I got to the stop just before my own I turned and pushed him as hard as I could against the window and jumped up and ran off the train shouting "fuck you" on my way out, and made funny faces at him from outside as the train was departing. I'll never forget that, that was at a time when my sexuality was very confused and although I knew I gay I tried my best to suppress the knowledge and forget about it, but in moments like that my feelings were deeply conflicted. Anyway, had he been a bit younger, I believe things would have turned out very differently. He wasn't "old", but was too old for me, not to mention that anyone who comes onto a teenager like I was could easily have intended on taking me home and ripping my heart out and eating it while the light of consciousness in my eyes dimmed and faded, lol. That wasn't the only time something like that has happened to me, by the way, it's happened a number of times and back then I don't think I dressed or behaved in any particular way as to attract attention from gay men. They must have somehow sensed what I thought were well hidden desires :3
This cracked me up...not because of what you said, but because you're also in the Rochester, NY area. Howdy neighbor!
