I would recommend a good Indica. The head high of a sativa might aggravate a migraine. But since you were already smoking a Sativa (Widow) and you liked the results, maybe you can stick to them. Maybe a good hybrid if you do not want to be too tired. Most strains are a mix of Indica/Sativa anyway for the purpose of easy growing and a good mix of the effects of the two. Very few stains are pure Indcia or Sativa. I believe White Widow does have some Indica in it, but it's mostly Sativa.

Are you in a medical state? If your not then buying off the street and knowing what you get will be difficult since your dealer will probably say anything they need to to sell you some bud.

LSD and psilocybin both supposedly cure migraines...

i wouldnt know tho, luckily i barely ever get headaches.

im not sure that pot could actually do that much good for a headache.

If you could some how get ahold of very weak blotters of LSD, like 20-50ug. You'd still be able to function :). Or eat one cap xD

Actually they work best for cluster headaches, although they also can stop a migraine, as they are similar types of attacks. The main difference is cluster headaches comes in cycles of attacks. Some peoples cycles are months between attacks, others are days or hours. The awesome thing about psychedelics is that one session can stop the cycles for MONTHS in some cases. so no need to worry about not functioning, one weekend trip and ok for a while depending on your cycle.

Saw a documentary about it and a grandfather, average straight laced business exec used them because they were the only thing that worked. He hated tripping and the social stigma attached to it, but one day, 3-4 grams of P. cubensis and he was headache free for about four months.

For him it was worth it, as he said the only other option was a bullet to his head, which he had almost done already before finding shrooms.

For migraines I think you need to dose during the attack, but as was mentioned above, a sub-psychedelic dose will often do the trick :)

Nat geo. Drugs inc: "hallucinogens" was the documentary you are talking about.

also, Nat geo. "inside lsd" documentary there is a segment on cluster headaches.

    2-bromo-lsd http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-Bromo-LSD

apparently 2-bromo-lsd can treat headaches without the psychedelic effects...probably almost impossible to find tho.
