What pissed me off a week ago was the same thing. I made a joke people didn't like and they jumped my shit for it. Fact is, people here need to lighten up. It's not intended to hurt anyone's feelings. And I can't care about 200 different people's feelings, or I wouldn't ever say anything!

Besides, if someone is hurt by something, you don't retaliate by calling them a ****! You say "that's offensive, don't say that anymore" and leave it at that.

 

Well you did care otherwise you wouldn't almost have left right.

I had scoliosis as a kid too I had to where a body brace from all the way down to my back up to my neck. That didn't work so I had to have my first surgery then it started curving down my spine so they had to go back in. I was teased as a kid I was known as the girl with no neck

 

It was that damn cat video. I said it was funny. Someone followed my posts, yet again, and gave me shit on another page. That's just annoying and stupid. If you don't like it, don't harass me. That's worse than me even making the joke!

What I mean is, I can't not make jokes on here thinking it may hurt someones feelings! Everyone on here cracks jokes. About gays, blacks, jews, old folks... the whole gambit. So, we are supposed to be sooo politically correct that we can't even laugh?

 

Yeah, I had the surgery. I'm getting ready to have it again, on my upper curve this time. I had 2 different braces. My first one was smaller, but then I got the one that came up around my neck. I still have them at my parents house.

 

I can understand if someone knows a parkinsons patient he would be hurt or be offended. If you don't understand you must not know this disease from personal experience. I mean you don't dig people making cancer jokes to people who have to deal with cancer direct or indirect either right? It doesn't hurt to take some advice, dixie!

 

I can take advice. I still don't see the point in being so politically correct on a website designed for the obscure!

Again, if you don't like a joke, don't be a dick about it, cause that's even worse. And if you don't like it, you CAN ROLL!

 

I have no movement in my back. These rods make me have perfect posture. My hips get dislocated cause that’s they only movement in my lower part of my back. I'm fused all the way down. I feel bad for you I have been there. they put me on morphine and I didn't do well next surgery my parents said put her on something ells

 

Wow that is intense. Mine's not that big. When they do my upper curve they will take out my lower hardware!

yeah, I called it hardware. Funny, hahahaha! I could call it my lightening rod or laugh about how it goes off through metal detectors (which it doesn't but plenty of people tease me about it!)

 

I used to set the metal detetors off and after 9-11 I never had a problem. creepy

 

It is not about being politically correct, I don't really advise being politically correct at all. Just being considerate and if you're ignorant about something don't judge the situation by your own merits but kind of apply the treat others like you would be treated principle. This does obviously not mean you can say what you think about parkinsons since you are ignorant about it but by how you would be treated if you showed your feelings about something that hurt/offended you.
