it doesnt make sense that people supposedly trying to find peace and happiness also cause so much war and segregation

It's the human condition I'm afraid, the human dilemma. Most people individually are good people and would choose peace and harmony, but the collective and accumulated actions of Humankind tend to work against this...All we can attempt to do is try to become the the change we wish to see.

    That doesn't happen!
You are either on one side or the other.
Anyone that is a warmonger, if they claim to be for peace, is lying!
Anyone who supports peace, doesn't support the war.

Reality isnt quite that black and white, in my opinion. Things would be a bit simpler if it were, though.

I think most people settle for individual peace and happiness much sooner than peace and happiness for everyone. So it makes sense to me since individual peace and happiness often goes at expense of someone else unfortunately, causing war/conflicts and inequality.

I have to kindly disagree. I think most people, all around the world, either have good intentions or bad intentions (when it comes to this subject). I know warlords can be great parents etc...

ugh, lost my train of thought.

I am glad we don't live in such a black and white world like Tolkien's middle-earth for example. It would be much simpler though, for sure. But it would be a serious m indfuck for me since it is obvious for me that good and evil are ultimately subjective (unlike in such a world).

I think it's actually more like some people are willing to take advantage of others and groups for their benefit, so in some fucked up way, the rest of society has to at least drop the peace shit when more than a few individuals are involved.

And thus why it doesn't work. More and more people like you said would choose peace and harmony... but they can't.

This world is corrupt from foundation and up, become the 'passive' change you wanna be ain't going to do shit but have you moved the conveyor belt with a mellower attitude.

Truth is, evil brings power. And there's a man or two upstairs who built that machine that could give two fucks about your hippy movement.

I believe in working towards, promoting and actualizing a complete re-definition of "Power"...I know the big bad men at the top couldn't give a frak about insignificant peaceniks like me...but if no one resisted or demonstrated things could get a lot worse...At the moment these rights are slowly being eroded...they are worth fighting for...I'm not going to give in and say"Oh...I just want to be like everyone else...Never complain...Go along with the whole fascist consumerist money obsessed bullshit etc..." I can be whoever I want to be,as long as I'm not harming others.I don't need anyone's consent...The more people that stand up for peace and freedom the better.

True in a sense. But there is a difference between people who don't support war to people who actually do something to try and stop it. Not enough of the latter.

Also I think there is a middle too, people that don't particularly like war but that think its needed and/or just accept it as being 'one of those things'...
