I went to class barefoot today!

I'm new to barefooting and still somewhat timid. I've gone into a couple of shops barefoot, just shops that I knew would be ok with it. Well, I was reading some barefooting pages yesterday and they inspired me, so I went to my class tonight barefoot. I also drove there and back barefoot - I didn't even bring shoes with me! This is a HUGE step for me.

 

good for you i hope you enjoy barefooting it i know i do. i should think that any shop that doesnt have a sign saying no shirt no shoes no service should be ok with you being barefoot.

 

Congratulations - way to go! I used to go to my college classes barefoot all the time. Did your classmates have any reactions?

 

Honestly, I don't think anyone noticed. My jeans were kinda long and you probably couldn't tell if I had flipflops on or not.

Are you planning to wear pants that will show your feet? FYI, I did it (still do it), and while I got tons of comments, most were mainly asking questions and wanting to know the reasons. I strongly advise, when you're ready, to let the world know about your feet!

Have you gone barefoot downtown yet? That was my biggest hurdle.

 

I have gone barefoot downtown in the past in my hometown. Unfortunately, we just hit a cold snap and it's WAY too cold to go barefoot now. I'm talking layers and jackets here.

 

hopefully it won't be an extended cold front so you get a chance to free your feet during the fall!

I go barefoot all the time at school now too.......well, in the last 2 weeks it's been bare"socks"....but they're still toe socks....which is about the closect thing that I can get to barefeet in the weather we're having. And the school is friggin cold. I rented out a locker and have been putting my shoes in it the minute I get inside the school. I get lots of comments, but I laugh and joke around with the people who ask about it.
For the most part, it's pretty cool about it. Haven't had anyone ask me to put on my shoes. In fact, in my english class a few weeks ago, the teacher was barefoot!
The college I'm going to has only about 60 students (it's a branch of a larger college in a small town), and everyone knows that I hate shoes, lol

congradulations, i would attend most of my college classes barefoot. there was much more acceptance of bare feet back then.

 

Great job! You now want to get to a point where you don't even realize you're barefoot. When you get to that point,, you won't even be aware of people's comments, people staring, etc. etc. I spent my college days barefoot and it was interesting how people got used to me in my bare paws but others joined me!

 

Me too, I tried to be barefoot in class, but was told to put my shoes on ((( that's not fair
