This is the most recent thing I have completed. It's called "Thinking Tree"
    Welded steel. 15" x 7 1/2" x 22 1/2 "
I managed to get this one into a show this year. It's the first time in seven years I've gotten into that or any other show, and it's only the second pieced of steel I have ever gotten in.

Wow. I was thinking it was going to be clay but metal is so awesome.

I love the design. The sun/star theme is pretty awesome.

Thanks Pixy. Steel is my medium of choice because it was readily available t me through work. This is one of only a few pieces I have made that represents something. You mentioned the sun/star theme. Those are actually ideas. The other two matching elements represent me, and the hub represents my brain. This piece represents the way I sometimes go through problem solving when working on something. Sometimes I labor, struggling to make sense of the basic idea I have come up with, and I find myself working in circles. That's the reason for the mirroring of the elements.
