U were seventeen n an arguement arose between u n ur mothers boyfriend..he has got an axe handle an clocked u twice upside the head...n u roll into kitchen n find cover under oven door but u soon find thats no place to hide from an axe handle as the oven glass rain upon ur face...do u grab a knife n do what u gotta do to see another day or do u pray that the next blow doesnt kill u???? just wondering why I get so much hate thrown at me for defending myself.....i just hope that those that like to throw stones at me r never attacked like I was....
As I can't pm you and you have no email address Lucy,I will just say this; I was in very similar situation,except I was stopping my mother being beaten to bits again. I did something very akin to what you did. As the aggressor had already broken several of my bones and I was 13,I wasn't imprisoned. Had to go through a LOT of shit though. So,no stones here,hon. XXX

sorry to hear that..some people r obvioisly pure evil cuz who does that to a woman n child....i dont feel good about what I did cuz when its all said in done that was someones son, brother, etc but I went round in my head a bunch of times what I couldve dome diferently but I felt stuck n he wouldnt stop coming... I even rolled under the oven door cuz the oven was open to try in get away from the next swing of the axe handle but that door just folded in half..didnt see how bad till I seen the crime scene photos...n you know what was sooo stupid...i tried for a self defense plea but theres no self defense law n maryland...so if someones attackong u n u punch them in the face they could actually charge u with assualt... Didnt find all this out till my lawyer explained all of that....well I was given my time n before I got sent up state I remember telling my mom that im not going to let ne one do nething to me n she said dont worry bout it ill b fine...but going to state prison when ur 17 is like going to summer camp so of course I got into trouble when I first got there but once it was clear that if you came at me id handle it I got my respect n the older dudes took me under their wing...n I was able to focus on things like college etc...its crazy cuz there were I guys that I met that came in round the same time I did but when id see them a few yrs later at another spot theyd have their hair in apony tail going by michelle...it was kinda sad but some people just dont have it in them to defend themselves or stand up for what they believe in they just laid down n let people do mething to them..im glad to see u stood up...n u dont know how much I appreciate ur understanding cuz I was expecting alot of hate being slung at me cuz of what I did n thats why I asked the question cuz from the outside people r so guick to judge but these same people people havent ever felt as though thier life maybe taken from them...when they did the toxicolgy they found cocaine..pcp..n alcohol n his system..n months later my mom got pics from the bank showing who was taking money from her account n it was him..the whole time my mom said he was telling her he thought I was doing it..granted I smoked weed n tripped sometimes but nothing that required me to need to steal from her..ive went on alot n thanks for listening puggynear..
The only complaint I have about your posts, are that you could use some grammar corrections, and spelling corrections. But that's the only negative thing I saw about this post. Woah woah woah obviously I touched a nerve I didn't think would cause that reaction. I am not a teacher, but I was pointing out what I thought was a very small issue. And you're right about Wikipedia not being a source of the best credibility but I digress. Anyway I did not intend to bring anybody down.
