Couple of new poems about a man I was dating recently. I love being single and dating, the muse is infinite.:H

    I Tried to Really Swim

    I Tried
    Lord knows I tried
    Jumped in
    Dove down
    And tried
    There in the deep waters
    Of ephemerical conversation
    To swim with the fishes.

    Piscean dreams
    Seek a rapt audience
    Demand attention
    For these weaving
    Flowing
    Ideals to be recognized.

    He tried
    Lord knows he tried
    And I
    Flight Geminian mind
    Try to grasp
    What exactly these emotional
    Tides are trying to convey
    Static mind
    Cannot in all logic
    Comprehend this honest harmony

    I was just beginning to
    Splash
    Play around in his water
    Baiting, waiting
    But I think
    This fish has already
    Swam downstream.

    Untitled

    At every instant
I expect to open my mouth
And pour it out to him
    Everything that constitutes
    The construction of my existence
    He doesn't ask
    I wonder why
Yet I find it of no consequence
I am and am not compelled
    To communicate this creation
    Of conception
    To him.

A little bit less here and a little bit more there and you'll be flying. I looked at the bottom piece and reconfigured it in my head. Like a stone, you have to cut it to make it glow.
