my one friend is straight from memphis, TN... he has one of the most hardcore southern accents, and the personality to match. although it's cool at times, it can get really irritating at points. yeah i'm a damn yankee...

I don't like American accents much in general, not the ones I've heard anyway. The way Finns speak English is usually quite terrible as well. I'm so glad I've gotten rid of that accent and now I sound almost British, which is alright. My favourite accents would be Irish, Spanish and Italian. Jamaican accent is also pretty cool.
My accent would probably drive a lot of people crazy. I've lived in a number of different places, but it's mostly a Northern (think Great Lakes, especially Cleveland and Chicago) accent with some Canadian and Texan influences. As a result, I don't have much room to criticize other people. If I can eventually figure out what you're saying, I don't have a problem.
