I ran into my old "manager" the other day and he said he wants to get started next week. We're gonna start small, just go to a few bars downtown.

I really want to be a prostitute because:
-It's on the fringe of this dog eat dog world
-It's a good schedule that enables me to have plenty of free time during the day
-It will encourage me to take better care of my appearance
-It's more money than I would be making as a receptionist, secretary, waitress, etc.
-I can enjoy my youth
-I can feel like a free spirit
-I can reclaim negative sexist and racist slurs
-People treat me like a slut regardless of what I do to live up to their standards so I might as well be a slut
-I love sex anyway and have lots of it so I could be getting paid for it
-I can dress how I like dressing and fix my hair, nails, etc how I like them
-I can have a father figure in my life who is invested in keeping me the way I like being
-I can rebel and prove a point, that I can do whatever I want whenever I want however I want

do some research on this. I don't think that you need a "manager", and they would probably take a big cut of your earnings. there is a danger that someone will try to force you to have them as a pimp, or that the the manager would change the terms of the relationship.

Just to clarify, there is a difference between street prostitution and escort agency work. The first is connected with drug addiction and sex trafficking and you really don't want to go there. You risk being raped and beat on by clients and abused by pimps.

My understanding is that the better type of escort agencies are a bit more discerning about their clients and have far better working conditions (no idea how it works in the US though). That doesn't make it 100% risk free but its definitely the way to go if you're choosing to go into this.

I can't say I'm impressed by some of your reasons though. You don't have to let what others think stop you but I don't think you should do anything just to shock or because its rebellious. Or to put it another way, if I got a picture of a panda screwing a french maid tattooed on my back it would shock everyone I know but that in itself isn't any kind of a reason to do it!

Some of the girls will only work in pairs, especially the first time outside the club with a client.

After girls get a lot of experience with sizing people up over drinks and get really good at it, some become confident with giving out phone numbers to a few clients right away, especially couples and mature men.

Some strip clubs don't mind if their dancers do this, while others are very opposed to it, but it's hard for them to catch anybody giving out numbers and it's unlikely anyone could prove that the club management knew about it, whether they did or not.

At some clubs, the girls can pay one of the bouncers to be on call for her when he's off duty, if she needs help on short notice. He gets told where she is going and when she should be finished. He has to check on her if she doesn't call in.

Some of them also have arrangements with security people at some of the better downtown hotels, who get about $20 to $40 for watching out for the girl on each encounter. The guys will come to the room if she doesn't show up in a reasonable time. There are even some hotel concierges who will help guests make arrangements to meet girls who meet high standards. Off the record, of course.

Best of all, these stripper/prostitutes can do as much or as little fucking for cash as they like. They can completely give it up and just go back to stripping, or they might get so many regular sex customers and hotel contacts that they don't need or want the dancing gig anymore. I even heard about one girl who ended up marrying her favorite client, when she was about 30, and ready to give up the wild life.

Don't worry too much about stereotypes. In every sex-related job, there are plenty of stupid and drug-addicted girls who don't do very well and don't make it for long. But there are some smart ones who figure out what works for them and make a lot of money for a long time. And there's a few who only do it part-time for fun and adventure, because they have real careers that pay good money, or they're in college.

There's a little bit of everything out there, if you look around and know how to ask the right questions.

If there is one thing that all of these working girls appear to agree on 100%, it's to never get in a situation where you have to deal with a pimp. Those guys always want to take control of the situation. That never ends well. You have to stay in control.

Probably the biggest downside is that you're going to get genital herpes if you do this for long. It's just a matter of time. HIV is much easier to avoid with condoms. Herpes is probably not nearly as bad as most people think it is, based on what I've been told by girls who live with it, but I still wouldn't want it. That's a deal-breaker for me.

Working for an escort service is different mainly that you usually don't get to be as picky about your clients. Your boss and the client will decide.
