    Yeah, I know that.
My point was that our perspective is just that, our perspective, and as such we are not able to discern movements of our solar system as a whole, let alone the galaxy, because based on our relative observations, we just go around the sun in circles.

I recall trying to read my friend's older brother's thesis for his B.S. from Princeton. It was about the Earth's "wobble" as it proceeds through it's rotations and how it fluctuates as a result of the gravitational forces from the moon and sun, or some such stuff. It was a few hundred pages with pages and pages of equations and diagrams. This was about 1978.
Same guy is now the head of the Geophysics department at Yale, Jeff Park, and one of the world experts on earthquakes and plate tectonics.
Even smoked a joint with him once.:sunny:
So yeah, I know the Earth's orbit isn't a circle.

Dark energy is such a bullshit term. Shows no insight into what energy really is. "ugh our formulas don't quite add up so... DARK ENERGY!" Yeah! Not much different from saying "Gaps in my understanding, so... GOD DID IT! Had to be God!

People are idiots, even scientists. But science has some things religion does not, peer review, third party confirmations, constant scrutiny and a growing, evolving knowledge base. You never hear religious people talk about their THEORY! Theories do not exist in religion.

They do not? Why are there so many different branches in a religion? Must be because they don't all have the same views I think. Also, religious people are in most cases not only followers of their religion. They can be and think many things, including positive thoughts about scientific theories. I don't know why I am explaining this to you since it is all rather obvious.

    Asmo,
And some branches of religion are so positive they are the RIGHT branch they will go to war with the others. This is what you call religious THEORY? Seriously? Where the fuck is your head?

Has anyone seen this guys head recently? I don't think it connected to his fingers.

carl sagan did a show on how we as 3d creatures could look at 2d creatures but they would only be able to see a fraction of us. i thought there was no chance of a god until i saw that clip. now i thing if there is a god we can only see a fraction of him/her/it. the difference is we are still 3d creatures but god (in my vision of it) would be a 4d creature. i still dont think if there was an all powerful god that he would give a shit about if i fucked a man or killed a baby. but i now believer that there is an all powerful god.....no, i believe it is possible that there is an all powerful god out there.

anyway what i believe is that we are inside a giant being that just went through the birth canal. before seeing that video i believed we were inside a giant amoebae

I guess when I think of this I imagine an ice cube that stretches to infinity which is melting from the inside there is no creation of energy or space simply the fabric of existence is morphing from one state to another while we within it stay more or less the same. Epicenter of this movement is an explosion which is fueled by the edge where the mass is still locked up there for the chain reaction cannot be stopped the larger the void or freely moving energy within the original mass the more mass is exposed to potential of freedom so conversion of mass to energy continues ever more which produces exponential growth of our usable universe. I see no reason to think this will ever stop since the original mass should be infinite for it is the natural state of pre existence so effectively our usable universe is infinite just the same.
Trigger really? I dunno pressure=heat can there be pressure due to more mass being allocated to the middle relative to the edges of an infinitely massive blob can there be a center to such a thing if not could this mean it’s finite…

what was there before there was what is, was itself, coming and going around in circles, like a kitten chasing its tail. that is to say, why would a universe be any less eternal then a god? this need not be a steady state. bangs big and small my well have come and gone many times and may do so yet again. the time span between them being so many more times greater then that of any species, that we need not concern ourselves with the extreme unlikelihood of ever seeing one.
