Sooooooooooooooo today I started filing the paperwork I need to return to my degree studies in January! I've just been looking through my dread thread ( </ego> ) and have decided to dye my hair before I go back to uni. The question is, what colour? My dreads have been brown, red, orange, blue, purple, pink and blonde, and a mishmash of all of the above. My roots (natural, untouched hair!!) is a really dark brown so my hair will have to be bleached and/or lightened before I colour it. My favourite colour is red, but I loved having blue & purple dreads. I quite like electric blue. So, red, purple or blue?! Help!
Hmm, that is a hard one. I have dyed my hair all sorts of colours too but when my hair was straight. For some reason darker colours always suited me way better than lighter colours but that is because I have natural black hair. Maybe go with a mixture of purple and blue. I have done this and it has always come out beautiful. If you get the mixture right, your hair will look blue from one angle and purple in another.
I dyed my bleached hair pink shortly before dreading my hair and left the dark roots untouched and I think it looks awesome that way lol
- have done purple & blue before! faded really quick but i really liked it. purple dye doesnt usually take to my hair too well looking at those pics again makes me wanna go bloooooooooo
Red dreads!! But super bright red. I would have red dreeads. When red dreads fade you can usually wait a bit longer to recolour, but bloo and poople they fade obviously, see what I mean? Redredred!!
