So I've been working out for around one hour to an hour and a half, for six days a week for a couple months now in a massive push to flatten my belly and build some muscle but I haven't gotten very far. I feel like for the gallons of sweat that have poured out of my body and all the effort I've put forth I should look lean and ripped. Unfortunately, I still look pretty much the same. Have I missed something? Am I not exercising enough? Could it be my diet? Here's what my workouts looks like. I only do one of these routines per day and I just alternate between them on a daily basis: Cardio and Resistance Routine: stretching 10-15 min jump rope for 1 minute to warm up, rest for 45 sec, jump rope 1:15 rest 45 sec, repeat several times finger push-ups 16 reps decline push-ups 14 reps normal push-ups 12 reps plank 45 sec, 1 min, 1:15 side planks 30 sec, 45 sec (each side) scissor kicks 2 sets, 15 reps pull-ups 2 sets, as many reps as I can sprints up and down a hill, 4 sets, 10 reps Cardio Routine: stretching 10-15min 100 jumping jacks mountain climbers 30 reps split lunges 12 reps each side tuck jumps 10 reps burpees 7 reps (repeat as circuit five times) punching bag (45 mins?) In addition to all my exercise I've also been dieting. In general, I'm trying to go heavy on fruits and vegetables, lean meats, cutting back on white bread and white rice and I usually stay away from fast food. Thanks for reading and sorry for the novel I just wrote you. But I could really use some advice on how to make my exercise and dieting more effective.
all that you are doing won't do a thing if you aren't taking some supplements to get the nutrients in your body that your body needs. Also, drinking LOTS of water during the day and before/after your workout will benefit you, too...your muscles need water My advice is to drink a honey/cinnamon tea twice a day. The benefits of these two things are endless, but if you put 2tbl of honey and 1tsp of cinnamon in a glass of warm water every morning and night, you will notice a difference in no time. Also, remember to really pay attention to what you are eating...getting whole grain stuff is important and try to eat organic as much as possible.
^well, you don't NEED supplements, they just help if you aren't getting what you need from your diet. changing your body takes time. have you been weighing yourself? maybe you are losing weight, but you just don't realize it because you aren't ripped yet and you only change ever so slightly every day. ultimately, weight loss just comes down to calories in versus calories out. eating the right foods makes it much easier, but i've lost weight when eating fast food every day just by eating smaller portions and exercising. if you google weight loss or something similar, you'll find more information than you can possibly ever take in.
No I haven't been weighing myself but I know that all the jeans and shorts that used to be on the verge of being too tight are now fitting much looser. So yeah, I have seen some results. Just not the results I was looking for.
Seeing as your Location is Atlantis maybe you could try swimming, hahaha. Underwater walking is said to be a good 'gutbuster' too.
well, you've got to be patient. most real weight loss plans (not fad diets or other gimmicks) only expect you to lose one or two pounds a week. so in two months, you're only talking 10 or 15 pounds. which would account for much looser pants. you'll see the results you're looking for, you just have to keep at it and remember that transformations don't happen overnight.
Hey, all things that you are doing would not work if you don't include some stretching exercise that is specially target your belly fat. I know its hard to get rid of belly but bicycling is found to be an effective belly fat removing fat.
-- I find it weird you haven't weighed yourself. How else did you plan on measuring your progress? I think you're stretching/doing some of the easy stuff too long, and I'm counting only 4-5 sets of resistence stuff.' I hope your workout has CHANGED after 2 months. You need to adjust when it gets easier. I would go for a real jog, 30+ minutes on cardio days. If you are putting in 1+ hour of hard work out time, PLUS a good diet, and your workouts attack the areas you want, you should be seeing progress... even with 2 more months. But you haven't been weighing yourself so who knows what's changed. :/
