A whole new world

    I am new to this site and am very glad I found it. I have been going through a metamorphosis of sort over the past 10 years and now find myself here. I use to dream about living my life with a corporate job, living in a spotless, penthouse apartment on Chicago's Gold Coast with my one perfect child and all the money I could ever want. I was a republican and arrogant. The vision has not only vanished but I am horrified that this was the route my life was taking at one time. I am now married to a woman, have two happy, very imperfect children, am a die hard Democrat, and a free spirted person who does not want to be held down by judgement and expectations. Two years ago I had never even had a puff of a cigarette much less anything else, today I am a HUGE advocate for the legalization of marijuana and a proud "stoner." I know that one day soon I will live amongst others seeking the same freedoms that I do. I can no longer work in corporate America, instead I consider myself a writer - an idea person (not yet published). I have become and am still becoming the tree hugging, free minded, open hearted, peace seeking, activist lesbian I once made fun of.
