    Heya people...

This is just something thats been going round my mind a little lately. I'm not too sure what I want to be doing next September, but I did consider going back to college. I do love studying and the amazing people you can meet along the way. But by the time I start I'll be 22 or 23. I've done the whole oldest person on the course thing before and don't really fancy it again...will uni be different? Is there more of a mixed age range on courses? I'm not too sure you see and so any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you,

    Marie-Clare xxx

I think with a lot of cases the age of people there will depend what course you're doing. I can imagine things like teaching would have a lot of older people:confused:

I'm nearing 24 and I've applied to go to University, and will apply or college if that fails. I've been out of further education for over 4 and a half years and am itching to go back into it now. I have little concern over wether or not I will mix in with younger students (16/17 years of age) because I'd say in a lot of ways I'm pretty immature anyway. :)

On my course of 14 individuals (Conservation Management BSc) there are only two people who are 19 (myself and my mate chris) 2 are 22-23, one girl 24-25 and the rest are over 35!! the oldest i think is 45... it doesn't really matter as we all get on tremendously, the only time when it seems to show is when me, chris and the 2 male 20 somethings go to pub at lunch - we're the only ones :D.

I started this fall. It's funny how so many people seem to be very young in uni, 18 or 19. In Finland (where I'm from) people usually go to uni in their 20's, just coz it's quite difficult to get in to one and it might take a few years before you actually get in. Anyhooo... even though the majority of people is quite young, there are lots of older ppl as well. For example, there are quite a few guys in my class that are around 25. :) So no worries, you'll fit in just fine!
