Obama appointed Monsanto's vice president as senior advisor to the FDA. How can anyone in their right mind vote for him? Obama and GMOs: http://www.whiteoutpress.com/articles/q32012/obama-monsanto-and-farm-bill-pushing-for-gmo-foods571/ GMO facts: http://www.anh-usa.org/genetically-engineered-food-alters-our-digestive-systems/ Monsanto facts: http://bestmeal.info/monsanto/facts.shtml We need GMOs banned or at least labeled, and a president who has concern for this issue. Obama doesn't and neither does Romney. Think freely, keep your eyes, ears, minds, and hearts open. Vote evil out this election. Your vote still counts and you still have rights. Protect them.
When campaigning in 2007, Obama promised to label GMO's. He's been a real disappointment on so many issues, and especially on this one. Then once elected he took an advocate for Monsanto and GMO's and made him the Secretary of Agriculture! And of course the administration has taken no action on labeling GMO's...despite the campaign promise. There's a measure on the ballot in California to require GMO's to be labeled, but Monsanto and corporate agribusiness are pouring buckets of money into the opposition to try to defeat it. Lots of "natural" food manufacturers are also trying to kill it, since what a lot of people don't know is that many of the big natural brands are in fact owned by Coca-Cola, Pepsi, etc. If we win in California, there's some hope for the rest of the country. If we lose...it could be all over. Next they'll move forward with trying to get GMO's to be acceptable under the certified organic label, something they've already been trying to do for a while. I donated money to the California initiative. I hope others will do the same. Whether you think GMOs are good or bad, shouldn't the consumer have the right to know what's in their food?
