    Wondering if there are any communes in Ontario close to Ottawa.

    dude! you're from my neck of the woods... there's an ecovillage (still starting up) in Lanark that I've been looking at.
    You could try FaithHouse..they're in downtown ottawa I believe..

    I know that there was one in the New Liskeard area many years ago but do not know of any that are still running now.
