I just want to kindly remind everybody that apartment living sucks. The parking sucks, the neighbors suck, the lack of space sucks, the associations suck, the rent sucks. Unfortunately for my current location, there weren't a whole lot of other options. I would pay significantly more for a house. I just want to have enough room in my bathroom for a small wastebasket. Why do people choose to live in apartments? It boggles my brains!
I refuse to live in an apartment. They all suck and attract too many white trash bottom feeders for my liking. The more "upscale" ones are too sterile. I am just not cut out for apartment living. I need my privacy.
I don't miss living in an apartment or a crowded neighborhood. I finally appreciate the silence in my life, living out in the woods...I can walk into my backyard naked and not worry about a thing.
grrr i am so fuckin jealous. I lived like that the first 20 years of my life then randomly get picked up by the police one day the last time i saw that wonderful house. My dads like you cant come back we are fixing the place to move bla bla bla. Been saying that for a year now literally. I dont get why my devil step mom can sleep there and i cant. I lived there a whole decade before she did. God i wish the whore was dead. And yup im in an apartment its not horrible tho i guess. We have a hot tub a pool and a little gym. Fuking miss going out in the mid of the woods so much i remember in another thread somebody said god is in the forest. I so agree.
Unless you're rich or enjoy a long commute, there are no houses to be lived in round here. I hate that my welfare collecting-freeloading-whiskey tango sister lives in a house and I don't.
Just spent 5 years living in a condo waiting for the right house to show up. Was going crazy with all my wood tools stuck in storage. I need to have room to do stuff I like to do.
sometimes i wonder what would happen to people that have a problem living with 1 or 2 roomates if they found themselves in a community with 50+ people. lol. i've got nothing against apartments. it's not like i can afford a house.
ya its really not that horrible actually. Just sucks more after you are used to it being lushh your entire life. I used to lie out in the sun naked for crying out loud! Lol the whole idea of rent is pretty fukd tho really its such a money drain to KEEP paying for the shit. Already have plenty of things to keep spending it on.
yeah around here there's lots of big beautiful houses from the ww2 era that all these trashy ass 5111's live in and my wife and I bust our asses to live in half a double. oh well, at least I took over the whole garage.
I used to live in an apartment below an alcoholic who would vomit punctually and loudly at 3:13 each morning. It sucked. But I was also 1 block from the beach, so that tended to balance things out a little.
lol i think i might be the annoying neighbor that plays loud music upstairs. damn. top floor ftw. or atleast, i was. not living there anymore.
I had an apartment in college that I absolutely loved. I live in a trailer now. It's a lot bigger. But I miss the city!
i've been in an apartment for 4 years now. it's not terrible, but this thread made me re-think the idea of looking for a house. i don't want to necessarily BUY a house, cuz i'm not sure if i wanna live here forever, but renting a house might not be that much more expensive. ....yeah, it probably is.
I've never lived in an apartment. I'm lucky to live in an area where housing rentals are comparable or even relatively cheaper than apartments. One thing I would enjoy about apartment living is a pool. Other than that there's just really too much pavement involved in apartment living to suit my taste. I would go a little crazy without a yard, grass and trees and all that jazz
i dunno i have some friends that got a house down in the ghetto for dirt cheap! lol. i'm amazed though at how cheap houses are sometimes, even the ones not in the ghetto.
You might be surprised, I would check out the rental market. In my area cheap houses are easy to come by. The only downside to renting a house is there's no on call maintenance. My landlord may come fix something a month later, or he may forget about it completely.
if you take the time to look around, you can always find a good apartment. my last two apartments, i lived for 5 years between the two and never encountered my neighbors. both had yards and dedicated storage areas in each apartment. obviously i'd prefer a house, but i can currently afford either a pretty nice apartment or a disgusting house, and i'd prefer the former.
LOL Sissy sounds like like a fun kinda gal. (That is just so damn funny!) I live with my mother in the country. Right now I really need her help (broken ankle)...and I LOVE the country. However...and that being said...if I was able to live where I wanted, it would be still in a house in the country, but alone & with animals.
yea i could get a house, but it would be a old fucked up house with hookers and drunks all over outside. so, here I rent...
