Both are pro-war, pro-Israel, pro "War on Drugs" etc. Both are also puppets of the private banks which make up the Federal Reserve, so neither will make the economy better.

The only difference between Obama and Romney is the rhetoric. Romney will continue to wage illegal wars and take away your rights like Obama is doing, and Bush before him. Regardless of who wins, it will make little difference since both answer to the same power structure.

    Fuck them both.

    This is true.
We all know that Congress has all the power!

However, if you are to look at the deciding factors behind the parties you will find that the Republicans are tax (the poor) and spend (on corporations) while Democrats want to raise taxes on the rich and invest them into private businesses.

Am I off here? I'm not a political major or anything!

Ok, I don't normally get into political tangents, but why is it seen as a horrible idea to tax the poor? There's nothing I hate more than a bunch of freeloaders.

Just because they are poor doesn't make them freeloaders!! As we know, the job rate is poor at best. People without jobs shouldn't be forced to give as much money (taxes) as people that are rich! They have less, so it's unfair to say everyone should pay (for example) 10k of their income. When some people only make 40k (or less) per year. The people that make 100k or more a year should pay more. It should be based on a percentage of your income, not a standard amount for everyone!

Ok, I don't really know how to respond to "that's not fair". It's an idiotic and childish response. I could give you a laundry list of not fairs. As for the percentage, Im ok with that. I'm not ok with it being at a zero percent for federal tax, like it is now, just because you don't make a lot of money. And while we're at it, I think some of these tax credits need to be shoved out the window. Why the fuck are you getting paid for having a child? Fucking insanity.

Isn't it all about "fair" and "not fair"? That's how all laws start! It's not childish, it's realistic! Maybe not the way you would look at it.

I understand the child credit. But there are plenty of people that lie on their taxes and claim things they shouldn't.

I'm fresh out of college, don't even have a real job (because I can't find one) and don't know a whole lot about the tax system. What I do know is that both people and the government should start playing fair. Maybe if people would just quit lying (about everything) and start doing what is right then we wouldn't have all these problems in the first place.

I agree we need to get rid of all the flipping "programs".
Social security, like we dont need the government to take care of us limiting our rights.
Sure romney or obama are puppets in the big scheme Of thingsbuttheydo have their own person viewpoints they want to put through congress. What we need isa stronger economy. Maybe oromneywill help cut spending

wow...only one response about the actual topic at hand...

    How's this for an answer?

It doesn't matter anyone's stance on war because we will never get rid of it, and face facts, every fuckin American politician (and majority of its citizens) enjoy being in other people's business and that's NEVER gunna end...sticking your nose in other people's business + other countries = war.

Now...as for the economy...neither of them have good points. I don't lean towards the right or the left, but Romney wants to fuck every middle class citizen in the ass sideways and Obama wants to give more to the people who don't deserve it...like illegals and people sucking up the system (which, in my opinion 99.9% of the population ON the system is sucking it up)

Take it or fuckin leave it, but this country is far beyond any politicians. I'm waiting for people to REALLY snap...and I truly believe its gunna happen...

One thing that I don't get is about removing the tax breaks for the wealthy. Since they have had their tax breaks all along why isn't all that money trickling down, where are all the jobs etc. Since they have not been taxed at a higher rate we "should" have recovered that much sooner. What am I missing?
