Silence Alec I’ve been told I can only solve violence with violence. Well, let me tell you I will not stand in silence. So I’m asking you to listen up good and close, Love is the best kind of dose. For love brings us joy and happiness Love gives us warmth and security Love helps us hate a little less Love brings us peace and purity Don’t be deceived peace is derived from love And our world can be safe under the wings of one dove. Now, I know that this is no small feat, But I cannot bear the thought of defeat. Why can’t we love our enemy as our self? I believe it’s because we have too much wealth. If we as a nation could put money aside And in peace and love this nation could confide, The great society would then live on Then our world could be again calm. Now we’ve come around full circle Back to love and this giant hurtle Love is the answer to all of the violence Love will keep this world’s wars in silence.
