I'm a 61 year old hippie from West Virginia. I work as a therapist in a children's mental health program -- my job is to keep kids with mental health problems from being locked up. My program, like many, is underfunded. I came up with an idea that I'll tell you about after the 20 mandatory posts (unless the moderator waives this requirement since my project is such a good cause). I want to raise money for the prevention of child abuse. I hold as much passion about this cause as I did about ending the draft and the Vietnam war. I've advocated for disadvantaged kids for 35 years, am licensed, and have educational credentials out the yin yang. Ironically, I only went to college initially to get a 2S deferment from the draft. I almost lost it by flunking German, but a friend who spoke 7 languages stayed up with me after I'd dropped *** and we crammed it in. I got a C on the final exam and a D in the class. Otherwise, I would be joining this site from a prison computer or Canada. The only German word that I can remember today is "ganz" because I once wrote a poem entitled Ganz Gestalt. The paper that the poem was written on has been long lost, but somewhere it exists forever. Bye
