Hey guys Im hoping to get some ideas for a Tattoo I want, as part of my recovery process from being sober from alcohol and drugs. Drugs and Alcohol were a really big part of my life for a long time. I want to incorporate heroin, cocaine, Ecstasy, Acid, Mushrooms and Alcohol into the Tattoo. As well as a touch of my Aboriginal Ancestry something to show empowerment or strength. Maybe put some Pink Floyd Lyrics in with it, Im sure there are many I can choose from No size matters it will always be a work in progress, always growing as I will be. Also wouldnt mind other elements of spiritualness into it, such as mindfulness, meditation, chakra, energies, chemistry, physics. Much appreciated thanks
That's a lot of stuff. Break it down into workable pieces like certain areas involving things of one theme. Do the conquering addiction through the strength from your ancestry. I think that would be a good start.
of course, Im just giving examples of stuff that I would like incorporated. Only certain themes for such drugs.
Yeah, I did a google image search for Aboriginal warrior and found some awesome images. That would be so meaningful and not run of the mill.
I like your ideas. I definitely agree with aeri, you should pick a main theme, you can then incorparate the rest into it. Where abouts on your body do you want the tattoo? That's a good place to start, for example, if you were to choose your upper arm you can then choose space for your main image and work around the shape of your arm, using the natural curves to place other images or patterns around your main base image (This is what I did with my upper arm tattoo, started with one plain image and have now built around that to create a half sleeve)
Just because some may relapse, does not mean that the tattoo is worthless or meaningless. Its there to be empowering whether or not that I can stay sober for how man y years or what need be. Everyone has their different personal journeys
How big are you wanting to go here? Where at on your body? What kind of coloring? Did certain aspects of Pink Floyd help you through your struggles? Or is it something that you just thought thought would accent the piece. My advice would depend on the answers to these questions.
tattoos are permenent. I have 30. relapse is possible... hope for the best but prepare for the worst.. just saying
