All Roald Dahl books! I just found his treasury book in the library and I love reading the comments he includes. I love his dark humour in his writing! Wish there were more stories like that today.

Where the Wild Things Are was a good one. I personally loved Disney stories... it was all about the princesses :)

I always loved the very first Narnia book (the very first chronologically that is) The Magician's Nephew. There is a wonderful scene in it where the main characters find a forest full of pools, each of which leads to a different world.

I loved Roald Dahl books - my favourite was George's Marvellous Medicine. I use to make my own concoctions from stuff in the bathroom, kitchen, garage. good times :)

Oh no ... I HATED James and the Giant Peach. I just found it sad and disturbing from the first page onwards, I'm afraid.

I loved the Chronicles of Narnia, and the Swallows and Amazons series of books.
