Clint Eastwood typifies the GOP, old and senile

Clint embarrassed himself and the republican party last night at the convention. He showed the whole country how pathetic the GOP has become. Thanks Clint, for making my day.

 

I saw that. I honestly think different of him now. He used to be that badass guy from Gran Torino to me but now it appears that's really who he is.. old, senile and inherently racist.

 

Yeah I don't think I can really look at him the same anymore...

I have known for years that he is a republican ,but he has made so many cool movies that I forced that fact into the back of my brain. It's hard to beat Josey Wales and some of the others he's made. So now that I've actively seen him with repubs-I have to think about it and I'm going to consider forgiving him. Yeah--I do. He'll be dead soon anyway. (not a threat--he's old)

I cant. TGTBTU, Dirty Harry, Unforgiven, Where Eagles Dare the list goes on....some of my favourite movies. Actually pretty much any movie of his that doesnt have an Orangutan in it I love.

He'll always be the man with no name. Introduced to me as a guy shooting a whole bunch of Italians pretending to be Mexicans, then a whole bunch of hippies on the Streets of San Fransico without due process.

So the fact that in real life he may be some kind of ultra conservative racist not much of a stretch.

And why do we give a shit what some actors political views are, they made their careers in make believe. How do we know this just isnt the next acting job? Say anything stupid just before the next movie comes out

 

On Clint Eastwood as dirty Harry , as I remember the plot of the movie . Harry was a cop in San Franisco , a group of other cops did not like the way the courts would let bad guys off so they started killing them . Harry said a cop is not judge and jurry , and went after the roge cops . They tried to kill him and he killed them defending him self . I am a life long rebublican , but I have no hate for Mr Obama , I just dont like where he is taking the America that I grew up in . In all the good speeches that were given at the R.N.C. last night I dont know why ever one on t.v. is talking about the one given by Client Eastwood . I really didn't think it was that bad. He did a bit and it didn't work he's not crazy he's just not funny and doesn't know he's not.

 

Most people who are dissing on him (esp the OP) worship Obama, and can't stand people who have the gull to talk about his failed policies. It's not because it's clint, it's because he's insulting their jesus...
