with your mental illness issues it's probably best you don't procreate... not trying to be an ass.. but if you don't want the possibility of your kids going through the exact same situation.. it's probably for the best not to have them in the first place

Is that in reference to ADHD?
Because ADHD is not a 'mental illness'. It is a developmental disorder!
I have ADHD and I have children who are perfectly 'normal', thank you very much.

OP - I agree with you. School was hell for me too, I will be home schooling my kids for sure! Sorry you went through that buddy!

You don't need to label kids ADHD if you don't send them to school in the first place.

Are you aware that in many states in the U.S. throughout history this used to happen? And if I'm correct I just read about something like that recently. By you reasoning, no one should ever have children because is a whole lot of crap that goes on in life no one should have to go thru.

Some countries have it better, some worse.

A view from the other side: I used to be a teacher. I quit last year because students were openly saying racist things about my wife in class, and the school administration refused to punish them. Our education system is messed up on many levels.

I think public education unfortunately is one of the most important tools of mind control. I'm pretty sick of this funland that has been created for me to live in at the moment. I just wish I could have what I need and have fun.

So you want everything you need and want without doing anything for it? You and 6 billion others, but when you figure it out, let us know

So prove those fools wrong. I was not so different once ADHD and Dyslexia manged to get me through the PES anf, flunked out and unteachable at 16. At 19 I came out, my family legally disowned me, legally. I lost everything except my car and clothes.

Well it took me a few decades but, I proved them all wrong. Today, I live in the south, in one of those small town where class still matters. I'm not gentry, but I am noveau riche. Yeah little old ADHD dyslexic, flunked out of school gay me has the house, the cars, the boats, the investments, the money.

Don's ever let them tell you that you can't - you can, they just don't know it is all. Poor them for underestimating you.

Im gonna go ahead and be the devils advocate here and ask why should public schools conform to each and every messed up kid? Its impossible. It works for most of us and thats a pretty good accomplishment. If I lived on a dirt road miles from the city, I wouldnt expect the county to pave miles and miles of roads for me and my one neighbor. Yes I pay my taxes and should get the fullest benefits, but it simply cant be done because of the available resources.

I wouldn't say the public school system is broken. How many kids do you know that are doing drugs? That's broken.
