....hi...my names rollingalong and i found this forum while searching some crap about hippies and i would like to meet some like minded people that are exactly the same as me in every way but just have different bodies

..seriously...if i see one more person that wants to meet like minded people i'm gonna lose it

expand those horizons....experience what someone who thinks the opposite is like.....

 

Now that I think of it, u r right, almost every introduction on here consist of "wanting to meet like minded people" lol.

 

Well since there are so many people looking for like minded people I'd say it's successful for them to come to the forum. Maybe the people don't actually mean they want to meet people just like them, but instead share the same interests. I guess it just seems silly for you to complain about it.

 

you are right, but I think most of them (I as the example...) mean that they want to find open people with which you can talk about everything, etc. not clones.
But yeah, you see them come and dissapear. Seems that they haven't found what they were searching for.

yeah, that's bothered me for about as long as i've posted here. i sometimes try to tell them how much more interesting it is to talk to different people, and they usually disappear before they can reply.

 

I come here for the specific reason that none of you are like me

reading your woes ,addictions ,ailments and stupidity actually cheer me up

 

It'd be an awfully boring forum if we all agreed on everything and shared the same opinions.

I do get tired of reading the responses that go something like "that's not a very hippie thing to say", because we are all hippies and we are only allowed to use the approved hippie phrases to tell people what they want to hear.

It seems everybody has different ideas of what like minded means. For me i simply want to meet people that have shed racism,bigotry,homophobia etc.etc. You dont have to be an old hippie or even hip. If people want to find other exactnesses of themselves isnt that more of a cult type thing? IDK just ramblings of a stoned mind i guess.

 

I dont remember if I said like minded in my intro but if I did I meant people that can joke around and not have to be so PC that I find myself editing what I really want to say. 'like I do in some other sites that I visit'
although there does seem to be some cookie cutter responses for people with certain questions or comments. I just stop going to those threads after I have seen the same reply more than once.
