yes it was all on our local news and i did post a link up there.... but that hole was 5 foot deep i'm not sure how much moving around they or he or whoever really did.... I'm really interested in who told them where she is...... He pleads not guilty so i doubt it was him... I would assume they would question that person as a suspect or i guess it could have been an anomynous tip but i read that it was very detailed and i have had suspicions he had a helper i guess we just wait wait see.. but they haven't realeased anything about the tip or person that called and gave it except what it says here....
I was thinking he deserves what he gets. Then I read that about the "two wrongs make a right" penalty, and how they will seek it....... If I was on that jury, I would be forced to vote to acquit, to avoid becoming the same thing as the murderer being judged.
I think that justice should be served. That girl didn't deserve what she got..... He should never be let go .... so he can go back and do the same thing all over again? He was caught with WOMEN'S ID's... no telling how many women he has raped and killed.. and how many more he would rape and kill if he got free... How would you feel if that was your sister or mom or daughter.. I don't agree with the death penalty but i do believe that he should sit in prison and let the inmates take care of him. This case has been public what he did will not be secret and they hate rapists..
I have always felt like there was someone else involved and I have a feeling about who...there may be more than one person involved. It just sounds like all that happened woulda been quite difficult for one person to do, although I do believe he is responsible for the majority of it.
How I would feel if it was my mom or sister has NOTHING to do with this. I would feel horrible, what's your point? I would hope that I could be as noble as the family members of various victims who can frequently be seen protesting the death penalty. The hypothetical jury member roor would not allow a bloodthirsty prosecutor to bully me into abandoning my morals just because the other option is to do nothing. "You have to kill him or I'll let him go free, and THEN how would you feel when he kills your mom" seems to essentially be the argument for the death penalty. Also, the typical argument about justice for the persen that someone murdered is pathetic..... I'm sorry that bad things happened to them, or to anyone, but it will not vindicate them, or help them in any way, to do bad things to the people who did bad things. The prosecutor can make a career by forcing the jury to murder him because it's their only option. I would not play ball. I also will have no part of the american fascination with sentencing people to mob justice. The imprisonment is the sentence, beyond there all inmates need protection, they have been sentenced to prison, not rape/hiv/murder/beating/whatever. Because they are in the custody of the state, things that happen to them are not the responsibility of other inmates but of the state. So...... I would vote to acquit. He'll have police breathing down his neck for the rest of his life, anyways. Any blame for him getting off would lie with the prosecutor, for trying to use old testiment justice instead of just protecting the public. I think he should be locked up for life, but I would have no part in killing him. I think it's silly when people say they're against the death penalty, but when push comes to shove they'd rather execute someone than NOT execute them, just because the defendent executed people. If you think it's okay to kill him, what sort of murderer do you NOT believe in the death penalty for? Is it always just this ONE more? Because that's how it seems. "oh I don't believe in the death penalty, but this is a bad guy"? Well yeah, he's bad, and there's much worse, but if you don't believe in killing them you can't support killing him.
If that was my daughter,son or anyone else in my family,I'd kill the perpetrator myself or hire it done. I'm not so noble as some are. Murderers get to enjoy eating,exercising,watching TV,ect and their victims have been erased forever after having undergone the horror of whatever the killer decided to do to them. The victims last moments are fraught with the certain knowledge that they are going to die, leaving behind unforgivable mental wreckage in their wake. No good,that. I'll add that I don't know much about the guy they arrested,but if he's guilty--he needs gone.
I'm against the death penalty when handed down by the state, on behalf of others. I would not be opposed to a law that allows, on a successful conviction for murder 1, for immediate family to apply to personally execute the guilty by their own hand, though I would allow further appeals at that point if the guilty chose, as with a regulation death penalty case today. Eye-for-an-eye is one thing, if it's the wronged party taking the eye. It's different if it's simply used as an excuse for the state to have the power to murder people. I also believe that ALL the execution methods used are quite inhumane. A lethal injection is quite invasive and terrifying, and is commonly botched, not to mention that there is NO evidence it's anything close to painless, if they wanted it to be painless they'd give them a high concentration morphine drip, but for some reason death by suffocation does not count and nazi-like chemicals must be administered to stop the heart..... I think a bullet between the eyes would be much better.
Thats what i said.. My mom said he was going to plead guilty once they found her body.. I guess all evidence there anyway...... I feel for her family Much respect they are very strong.
As happy an ending as there could have been, given the circumstances. A confession and closure, and no more murdering either by the state or the murderer.
