My husband and I have been married for 18 years and very much in love.

All of a sudden he's taking so long to cum during sex 2 times he told me it was because I was too wet and he wasn't getting enough 'friction' but when we changed to doggy style he was able to cum then.

And the most recent time, he was just not able to get over the edge.... he'd be close to cuming then it's gone. He did say that I was abit dry and feeling tight and it was slightly painful for him, but he's not sure why he took so long to actuallly reach the finish line. Normally he comes before I do or around the same time.

I'm not sure if it's because he's increased the dosage of his antideppressants he's on or if there is something wrong.

By the way he's 43 years old and he thinks it may be due to 'aging'.

Any ideas or advise would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

no way for us to really know for sure. my guess would be the antidepressants though.

kind of dickish of him to basically blame your vagina both times.

I would think it is the antideppressants he is on. They can do that. Be patient with him because pressure won't help out at all. He shouldn't be blaming you though.

Anti depressants are well known for reducing sexual sensitivity in both men and women. I'd be talking to the prescribing doctor about a different medication that has less of this side-effect.

I doubt that it's age. At 50 I can crank out 3 or 4 a day when my lady is in town.

Good luck, I hope you can sort the problem out.

I have read that anti-depressants can have negative effects on both men and women's sex drives. What anti-depressant is he on?

    Thanks for that.

He's been on them for several years now, experiencing this problem when he first started taking them but then everything went back to normal very soon after.

About two months ago he increased his dosage so do you think it's the dosage increase that sent him back where he started and if yes, then why is it taking longer than before to go back to normal? Also could this be a permanent side effect, or will it pass like last time?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance.

I would love to help but unfortunately I am not a doctor! I will bet you that it has to do with the increased dosage. Maybe he needs to go to a lower dose? I would definitely talk to a doctor if it is affecting your sex life to this degree. Good luck!

I agree with Chad, get the doctor involved there may be a different medication he can take.
