Just got a crybaby wah pedal for an early Christmas. The deal is...it keeps on roaring at me when ever I turn it on. You know..not actual roaring...but it just "buzzes" super freakin' loudly when ever it's on and there's any volume from the amp. Don't know if the thing itself is defective or my AC Adaptor. Any ideas?

Wahs pick up alot of frequencies from around wherever. Do you have it near your computer? Florescent lights? Radio?

Those are just some of the things that have made my wah buzz.

hmm, i know sometimes when i place the cords in wrong it makes the same sounds as pink floyds "echos".

I have used an A/C adapter for it, and it worked fine. I think it could just be defected. I say take it back.

This wasn't like cool trippy noises, just plain scared the freakin' hell out of me. Thanks for the ideas everyone. The real issue was this Dunlop is only compatible with their own adaptor. So...I just have to use a nice volt and I'm all funk'd all fine now.

Yeah... Dunlops can be irritating, sometimes... I find that the newer capacitors to be irritating, too. I don't like the sound of the new pedals unless it's something like a Clyde McCoy reissue.

my guess would be the cord, cause i had a faulty one and mine wasn't working right for a while, my pedal is a dunlop jimi hendrix style, and i must say it rocks, have fun with yours
