I've recent;y got into the infamous 1960's psychedelic/tropicalia band known as Os Mutantes. My favourite song by them so far is from their self-titled debut, Senhor F. I've learned how to play it on guitar, but I couldn't even begin to try and sing it in it's original language, I was just wondering if there are any Brazilian people out there who could translate the lyrics into English. I would love to record an English version of the song. Here are the lyrics.
Uh-oh---I looked for it and it looks like it's gone. I know there used to be a Portuguese section. Maybe I missed it somehow---I don't know--e-mail Skip and ask him about it.
The Lord "F" To want to live Being Lord "X" But afraid to ever go back The Lord is the "F" again Mr. "X" He is the hero That on TV Never loses his hat And does the Lord "F" dream Dream of For others see blue Eyes Having a car like the "X" And conquer the boss's wife Give a kick to the boss Give a kick to the boss Give a kick to the boss you also Want to be someone - abandon But he's afraid of forgetting The scarf and the document again Give a kick to the boss Give a kick to the boss Give a kick to the boss (that's google translate's take on it, its obviously off, but it's a start!)
no haha like my post says its google translate. I'm pretty far from portugese... I have a belt in brazilian jiu jitsu though, does that count?
