All that's left, Memories condensed to a single thought, Out of the turmoil, A reoccurring idea, One of indifference, apathy My salvation and respite A soft chuckle as I see you, Plump babies on a plump arm, His eyes, your smile, You've dimmed, fading Your choice and fate Everything we ever were, A drop upon the oceans of my mind, Amidst that chaos, A forgotten lyric Love diluted, nothing My emptiness and freedom
I like the idea of memory being condenced to a single thought. It reminds me of a part of Men in Black where one of the characters says that when people die all of their life's experiences run through their mind really quickly and freeze your last impression. I guess that would be a moment in which all your life experiences are squeezed into one final thought and impression.
