Do you think the recreational use of marijuana will be legalized in the US in our lifetime? How come marijuana remains illegal when it has the lowest related deaths out of all legal and illegal drugs? Moreover, how can the government justify tobacco and alcohol being legal while considering its death toll, and still argue that marijuana should remain illegal to adults, even for medicinal use?
Yes, I do, altho I thought it was going to happen long ago, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me. We already have about 20 states that have medical marijuana and we have about 3 states that have decriminalized for getting high, including where I live, Massachusetts. There is a referendum in Colorado this fall that would legalize it for adults. It might pass. The next step would be a President who re-classifies marijuana, recognizing that it does have medical uses. This would probably cause many more states to allow medical marijuana and decriminalize it. Sadly, the U.S. Congress will probably be the very last political body to wise up.
Well first off, it is very legal for medicinal use in some states. Living in Colorado, I'm more than free to get my green card and purchase legal dank bud. But here's the catch, did you know that if you have a green card every business you apply for knows you have it? Some companies won't even allow you to get hired because of it! The ballot this year for Colorado, Oregon, and Washington are trying to legalize marijuana completely, and if it passes n just one state, it could easily start to be legal in other states in the future. But the problem is the federal government, they don't want states to have such a power, so they'll do whatever they can to stop it. Honestly, if it were based on popular opinion, do you really think marijuana would be illegal? Almost every single person who voted for medicinal marijuana is going to vote to legalize it, so that way we will know if it is rigged or not
Yes, yes I do with the whole medical scene booming, its only a matter of time ( hopefully not more than a decade )
There's a guy running for Congress who says he will smoke a joint on the steps of the capitol building. I think that says enough.
well, it says that whoever is running against this guy is going to have a seat in congress next year.
I don't know how long my lifetime is going to be.... For some of you "kids" (no offence meant) sure, it will be legalized. Either that or the whole shithouse will go up in flames and there won't be any laws anymore...
