What a bummer. When I used to go to the gathering it was full of very beautiful people. Not one yet. "We love you" no more.

hi , i just got out of the woods and ya it was a fine
time gathering . i think the spirit of this one was ' speaking
the light ' . an om to the sun was long , long and
beautiful and then of course the sister next to me in the circle
just had to get tearful about it .

peace to it all , never mind that people
    don't internetedly write much anymore

When thousands of people come together in a group hug for peace, it stirs very strong emotions. I've seen a rainbow circle the sun on a cloudless day during the ohm prayer on the 4th. Big magic.
Thanks for your contribution...but the lack of posts by others makes me wonder how few went to the gathering this year. And the lack of interest is not doing much for the popularity of the peace movement either.

most folks are face crackin,,, go look there,,,, all kinds of stuff,,,,

this years gathering? well I did not get snake bit, no tree's fell on me, a small branch did land on me, but not even enough to hurt. 2 fell right next to me, big ones the eve of that big storm. so I am grateful for nature not gettin me! : )
I ran onto a friend i never expected to show up,,, their first time, and I just happened to be there when they arrived in. Magical that was. Made new friends, water was clean, love, love, love : )

i showered in the 13 foot waterfall that was above fatkids. & i successfully experimented with using a soup pot as a makeshift dutch oven that i made several cakes and cornbread with. oh and i swam at the lake every other day. it was like rainbow beach!

There was a waterfall above Fat Kids?! I ventured up there once to get water but if I had known there was a waterfall I would have been there all day every day

yea, there r a few up big oak branch. but be prepared, u have to go up some pretty narrow creekway that is filled with many large downed trees and a lot of manzanita. u have to follow the creek more than halfway to the top.
there r actually the remnants of a very old trail that follow the creekline up some from the same hill fatkids was on. it is just up the hill from the kitchen. people were keeping it on the DL because that was the same area the watersource was in so we couldnt take the chance of contaminating the water supply.

Krishna Kitchen always has great food. You sure you weren't chanting "OHM"?
Did the Krishna's tell you about when they brought the elephant to the gathering?

thanks . i thought the dragonfly that came and got right in my face
was indeed very much a giant - wingspan about 14 inches . this
    was quite startling .

as for a gnome!! - there were mysterious footsteps in the night at
our camp FirstEarth - and most oddly in the mornings i would discover
that someone had taken with a very tiny spoon a very tidy scoop
from the fresh pot of cornmeal left out overnight to cool for the
    next days bread making .

Wish I was there, these are my kind of trips. Does anyone know where 2013's gathering will be?
