I never knew this was that odd, since I've known a few dudes who think its gross/aren't that sexual. But yeah, I don't like porn. I'm not religious, and I don't really care about it being demeaning to women. I've just never had that much of an interest in it. I've seen porn, and a few sites I visit post some funny porn. I just don't get off on it. Magazines were different. When I was a kid the internet wasn't the big thing it is today, my first porn was finding my dad's hidden playboys and bribing older kids to get a mag at the corner store. I eventually lost interest in magazines just cause they aren't big anymore, and because I didn't need them to masturbate. Anyways, mags were different in that it was just a still photo of a naked woman. I can't get into porn because of a few things. Naked dudes are an instant turn-off, doesn't matter what the girl looks like if there's a naked dude there I can't get into it. The male body, penis, etc, is just completely disgusting for me (at least if it isn't my own, I don't have issues with my own body). I also don't like the "aesthetics" of it, just basically seeing other people fuck. Grunting, moaning, all the sounds of it, their facial expressions, etc, just disgust me. I masturbate frequently so its not an issue of not being sexual or not liking masturbation. I might have a photographic memory or something, I can remember pretty much every hot girl I've ever seen. Add imagination to that and well, I've never missed porn or felt a real need for it. I'm guessing its true that almost every other guy likes porn though?
I also forgot to mention. When it comes to sex, I'm not always "on" like how society portrays men. I have to be turned on to actually want it. I've been with women where the moment just wasn't right and they expected me to just be there when they needed it, nope. Might have something to do with why I don't enjoy porn.
You should probably discuss this with your doctor, as it can be a symptom of a number of serious underlying medical conditions.
You don't like porn. So? Keep not liking porn. I'll keep liking it. I don't see that it matters, or is even good conversation.
Like what? From what I know, a dislike of porn isn't a medical condition. I just think its disgusting and prefer my own imagination. I'm very surprised there aren't more people here who feel the same way, just looking at this forum you'd assume its impossible to jack off without porn. Another thing is....I don't look at women as sexual objects to "fuck", I see them as human first and female/etc second. Might be the main reason I actually have to be turned on to have sex, usually that barrier has to be broken down first. And if I see nudity I don't think of it as sexual, at least not unless I want to, if that makes any sense.
It matters. My opinion wasn't represented here, I don't know that many people who feel the same way I do about this. I did a search and there has never been a post like this in the masturbation forum so I felt compelled to ask about it.
Porn is a relatively new phenomenon. Before VHS and before nudie magazines men had to use their imagination. I've frankly always found it weird that most guys claim to need porn to masturbate. They can't just close their eyes and imagine?
Porn is far from being a new phenomenon. Sure, the media formats it's presented with is constantly moving on in line with technology, but it's been around ever since the days of the earliest cave drawings. Until relatively recent times we were constantly taught how masturbation was harmful in so many ways - Blindness, Madness, Hairy Palms etc., but now that we are faced with the actual scientific facts it's considered as part of routine Sex Education in schools that not only is it is perfectly normal, but it has many medical advantages. However, it is also taught that it is just as normal not to masturbate, depending on one's personal choice. The same can be said for one's attraction / revulsion for porn. My personal choice of porn genre is for amateur - so long as it's genuine amateur. As far as I'm concerned, if there is a 3rd party present with the camera, that cannot be considered truly amateur. With genuine amateur videos I feel I can empathise with the characters & imagine myself in the participating role. The more professionally directed ones seem to reach out to outdo each other for unbelieveability. There's nothing wrong with liking porn. Likewise, there's nothing wrong with disliking it. Neither is right. Neither is wrong.
I have never been into porn either - saw it a few times with friends growing up, did nothing for me then I discovered my brothers Razzle I liked to read the stories but never got really turned on... I have never had a relationship with a man into porn either, if a guy was to tell me they were into porn I would like wow have you no imagination.. I guess the kinda men I go for have :2thumbsup: I like the real thing last thing I wanna do is see other people rooting! So in my book, your a dude.
I... I just don't understand!! Lol! If you don't like porn then you don't like porn, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I personally love it and watch all the time, but I don't need it to get myself off... but then I occasionally get wet walking through the produce section at the grocery store so.....
