Getting away with bringing a small nug on a domestic flight

I would really like to bring a small nug like 0.3-0.5 worth on a domestic flight, in a carry-on luggage without getting in trouble anyone do this before?

 

With how crazy airport checks are... you don't wanna try carrying anything on the plane.. I'd put it in checked luggage.. maybe in a stick of deodorant

 

I remember being at an airport in flordia and being like, wow I could have brought like a gram of weed in my pocket and no one would of known. It was like they just didn't check you, it was so laid back.

Another time a friend went through with a bag of weed in their backpack without even knowing it was in their. No one found it and the friend didn't even find it until they got off the plane.

But yea, most the time they search you from head to toe, probably not worth the risk...Just saying maybes.

 

I wouldn't reccomend it, especially If you've had any marijuana related offenses in the past. But if you must.....put it in a checked bag, inside a stick of deoderant (as mentioned) or something if the like.

 

In your luggage it's a crap-shoot so better use the 'poop-chute', if you know what I mean. LOL

 

grrrr, I wish it was legal and I could just be honest "Look officer, im not distributing, I just have 0.5 on me I would like to share with my friends back home. I even put in a plastic baggy and took it out of my carry-on for you to scan".

I was thinking wrapping it in a plastic baggy and throwin it in a bag full of trail mix snack OR buying a cigar, carefully unwrapping it taking some of the tobacco out stickin the small weed back in and restuffing the tobacco to cover it up and trying to put the plastic wrap back on to make it look unopened. However, both methods seem to come with risk and not worth the hassle, unfortunately.

Don't do it.....you will get caught. those airport fuckers don't fool around. I got the full body search the last time I was through....not cool.

 

So, here's the strategy I think would work.

Get a backpack with 4 or more compartments for a carry on. You want the ones with like two or three big zipper pockets, then some little smaller ones on the front. Basically you would need to do is fool the Xray machine, and a backpack like this will be how you do it. First off, though, a lesson in airport Xray technology; airport Xray scanners identify items using three color shades;

- organic items will show up a shade of orange
- inorganic items (synthetics, plastics, etc) on most xray machines are a shade of green
- metal items will show up a shade of blue

Metal and organic items are what they are looking for typically, because most explosives tend to be organic I guess... In terms of metal they are looking for things that look like they could be used in IED's and obviously guns and whatnot. However, lots of other shit will show up organic too (i.e. your bud) and also food. So what I do is vac seal it, put it in the bottom of a large bag of potato chips (with the chips on top) and put that it the bottom most layer of the backpack. Then I use the other 3 compartments of the backpack to layer all sorts of random shit on TOP of the compartment the bag of chips is in... throw in some cords for electronics, cd player, magazines, video game, xbox controller, books, bags of candy, alarm clock, newspaper, CD's , sunglasses, a pair of shorts, couple baseball caps, WHATEVER, just pack the backpack full (though not suspiciously, over jammed). This way when it goes through an X-ray machine, all the shit you layered on TOP of that bag of chips will make it IMPOSSIBLE to distinguish a bag of weed in there... The image just shows some of the more distinct objects you have in the first layer or two, the rest is kinda jumbled and you can't really make it out...

You obviously take some risk doing this, best get a lawyer on standby just in case.. It's also good to research the law on this and know what your up against... Dunno about that one. Transporting a controlled substance, maybe? So... up to you to decide if its really worth it. If you can obtain stuff easily at your destination, always go about it that way, obviously.

Oh and one more thing... I see a few people here recommending you put it in your checked baggage. DON'T do that, whatever you do... Carry on method I've mentioned is FAR safer. There's been a good 3 or 4 times where I've flown and got to my destination and opened up my checked baggage and everything has clearly been flipped through and there is a little TSA flyer in there which says you're bag was selected for a random inspection... I've NEVER seen anyone get pulled aside and have their carry-on searched.

I suspect mailing it to yourself your safest option aside from just procuring more at your final destination.

Carry on is probably your best bet otherwise although I have been pulled aside and had mine searched. I was carrying allot of "nerd gear" (arduno, basic stamp etc.) and there were wires, MANY wires, so it wasn't unexpected.

I did carry once on a flight to Canada long LONG before 911.
Then I vacuum sealed it in a glass tube and tapped it to my scrotum.

 

I have done it a few times in the past, but times have change. I used to have it in my bra or in a maxi pad, now they have those body scanners. I don't think I would ever try and bring anything on a plane with me ever again; I would wait until I got home or smoke before I get to the airport. If it were me I wouldn’t do it, but that’s just me. Good luck with what you decide

 

I have brought hash home from A'dam quite a few times. not saying its wise or anything..
mailing it to yourself is not cool. just as easy getting caught. they check post too..
maybe its all about luck, hope mine doesn't run out
