Getting out more changes nothing. While some may be content to let this, the greatest country the world has ever known, go to shit I, for one, refuse and no amount of sunshine and flowers will change what is happening. If intentional ignorance is what you choose, fine, but if/when shit goes down don't stress just get out of the house more and you will forget everything. After all, ignorance is bliss...

they said the Patriot Act was just for terriost, but that did not stop the local police from searching my plant nursery when I was not there several times. By the way it was a private plant nursery regestered with the state of Fla.and regularly inspected by the Ag dept. Only they made appointments. When I caught the cops on my property with no warrent I complained to the proper authorites and guess what. They said they did not need a warrent that the Patriot Act gave them the right.
So if you believe the authorites will not abuse this power and use it against all of the people for what ever they want you are naive.
Remember you live in a country that has for profit prisons.

Ha, my best friend always gets paranoid when she's talking to me on Skype. Guess she has a reason now.

I don't know, wasn't Skype created so people could have private conversations? Because then all this completely defeats it's purpose and now the only way you'll be able to talk with privacy is in a tiny room in the middle of nowhere alone with whoever you want to talk to. What would the police do about that?

I dont know about the police but I know that some one iz watching everything...

I waz playing Starwarz The Old Republix and some toon waz telling me "if you close all those pdf's you have open on your desktop maybe you can play better"...

Yesterday I waz in Starbuckz and went out for a smoke and came back "porn waz blarring on my desktop" ... and yez I could see my desktop from outside... and no I would not look at porn in public thatz a private fun thing... and yes I have anti malware... It seemz that "domain ownerz are breaking their own privacy lawz" what a "oxy-moronic ideal"...

And any cell seemz to be a ancient scroll for pharoh'z theze dayz ....

Itz kinda like being in grade school and the ugly kidz keep telling on you becauze they had no life then and still dont...

This is all fine and dandy now, but in the future I'm sure more excuses will be made to shred common freedoms from the population, for instance it may not be happening now--but it could go beyond pedofiles and hackers. I wonder if some common sense exists to see how too much spying will ruin our country and turn it into a fascist plutocracy? I get paranoid enough as it is watching Infowars.

very sad to see the monitoring is just one more step in undermining our democracies.....Plutocracy (rule of the rich) demands monitoring

I dont consider it a privacy concern as long as its not overused. This could really help catch the perverts who court unsuspecting underage girls on skype

But it's just like any other "toy" the cops get their hands on... They gotta check it out and abuse their privileges.

John Gotti and the boys from The Ravenite Club would go out walking around the block when confidential issues were discussed.

The idea was to keep moving so a single mic could not pick then up.

    They also played the radio.
