Honestly I would recomened just about most artists from Japan seeing as how thats all I listen to. But the best artists from Japan would be:

My final bid, though, would be Juliana Hatfield. She's my only true music idol - I am so obsessed with her stuff!

 

I love the stuff Juliana Hatfield did on the series "My So-Called Life"!

 

I haven't heard it, sadly. But I've got a bunch of records and the song "Super Model" made me start playing in a band.

Edit: And also turned my attention from the grunge scene to pop music. (Still like some of the grunge bands too but it was sort of a turning point for me.)
