Black dreads are a pain in the ass to photograph, I apologize. Started by sectioning and back combing, then I crocheted for a couple of months and twist n ripped the ends, then year 2, I combed out 8-10" from the ends, and recently gave them a trim to tame some of the broken scraggly bits. I have one braid that is 2 dreads I combed out completely. I have no idea how many I have, more then 45, less then 65. Occasionally they hit a bit loose at the roots and I rip the larger ones in half. No. Wax. Ever. Use dreadhead shampoo (bronners leaves too much residue for my tastes) and sleep with a satin pillow case to keep roots tight. Only maintenance is trimming my bangs and ripping the new growth apart. Pictures! Today
Oohhhh I want to stroke them! I love the last pic, so natural ^^ Loving the curly endies too. I may have to steal this idea for my next set!
