Deal weight its where the money is at. If you're buying by the ounce you're never gonna make serious money. Get at least a pound or more of headies for a reasonable price, get a few people who want 1/4lbs, 1/2lbs, shit like that... Mark it up several hundred bucks depending on how much they're buying and your cost and make your money like that. Sales where you can literally make 700$, 800$ in a matter of a few seconds.. Give the people you're selling weight to good prices too. That's very important. Leave some room for them to come up, and soon enough they'll be buying pounds or more from you... Be fair, and straightforward. Never mis-represent you're product as something it's not. Always give people the proper weight; do not short people...Do not deal with shady people. Do not front people... You will get every excuse under the sun why they're short on your cash. Be respectable, the bud deal is done with a handshake, not a gun. Protect what's yours but NEVER go looking for trouble. Hook up repeat customers on occasion, or cut them a break when you are making enough money. Spread the love, leave a little for someone else And put out quality, don't ever put your name on shitty weed... Contribute something unique to your community. I can testify to the fact; dank weed sells itself. I'm talking professionally grown, high times centerfold worthy bud... Get a few renowned strains your area has never seen before and introduce to the market medicinal quality cannabis. It's all about who you know too. You have to have the right customers.. like I said dealing in weight is the only way to make a successful living doing this. It certainly can be done though, and if done right you can make way more money than the people in even respectable 9-5's. But if you gotta ask here, I highly highly doubt you'll ever even get remotely close to that. Sorry Oh yeah, bury a few grand off your property.. "oh shit" money in case you ever need it.
if someone just starts trying to sell 1/4 pounds...he's gonna get robbed or busted. you kinda have to work your way up don't you? most stoners know a few other stoners, but you need to know some trustworthy people to start selling them multiple ounces of weed. it's not worth it if you ever get caught.
get Gromit to do the sales...that way you're in the clear when the clay hits the fan. and always have a getaway plan
Yeah you def shouldnt jump in moving pounds n shit unless you already know people who would buy. Just nickel n dime to start, make a few bucks, n build a client base. Besides, if youre just starting you probly cant compete with prices of established dealers who get pounds regularly or grow themselves
You're more likely to get robbed by the dealer trying to buy 1/2 pounds and up. 1/4 pounds and down would probably be easy to get off any of your friends or someone they know. Don't know how it works where you live OP, but in Cincinnati (where I'm familiar with), you pay dealers such-and-such cash to get their dealers and work your way up. The right amount of money with the right people will get you as much as you want when you want.
I plan on just grabbin a QP and sell it by the 8th quad half oz and so forth. Its mostly to smoke for free and a lil extra money on the side
I was thinking of doing this recently. I came into a few ounces and figured I could sell them a gram at a time and make more money from one ounce than what I paid for all 3. But then I decided I'd keep it all to myself. =]
i got kicked out of college for it. i had about a half ounce at the time, but they knew i was selling. my bro-in-law got caught with 5 pounds and a lot of cash. he avoided jail time, but he's now a felon. and i'm sure he lost most of his accumulated profit.

I never really sold it, but I know a mid level dealer, so I got a price for a pound, asked some pothead friends if they wanted to buy larger quantities, got them to give me money up front, then I went and bought the pound, 3/4's of it went to other ppl and I'd keep 1/4 for $30. My friends got a better-than-usual-deal, too, so win-win. Course that won't work unless you already know a dealer and have some pothead friends who trust you.. But it was surprisingly easy and kept me smoking outrageous quantities almost for free for a long time. I would be extremely careful about it in the USA though - would probably avoid it altogether. Crazy legal system.
get a pay as you go cellphone and put a fake name down if you have to give them one. tell your friends never to text/call you about business on your personal phone. don't scale out your stuff in advance. keep your baggies in the kitchen with your normal kitchen bags. little shit like this seems pointless but it might save your ass. i've never sold anything more than quarters or half ounces to friends, but i stopped completely because it's not worth it. our new laws make it a minimum jail sentence, and since i live close to an elementary school. i even gave my scale to a friend because i just don't want to risk some asshole cop busting me for smoking a joint outside and finding the scale and a big sack beside it. fucking laws...
