Doing acid at 13?

Okay so here's the deal. My best friend's little brother wants to know if he can do acid. This kid is 13, and has smoked pot before. My friend came to me because I do more acid than him. So, I come to you because I have no fucking clue! Any help is appreciated

I know of a kid that's done shrooms, acid, and pot at the same time at age like 13-14. Middle schooler is all I know, and I couldn't believe a kid was getting into that.

Tell him to grow up, I mean seriously, it's a life changing experience, he hasn't even experienced life yet!!

Okay, but that kid did all those at once. Would it be reasonable to have him do half a hit? idk why, but the kid's really into it.

I would venture to say that NO ONE can handle LSD at 13 and not be affected permanently

 

If he's mature and educated enough, I don't see why not. After being inspired by the late and laudable Terence Mckenna, I had my first hallucinogenic experience with psilocybin when I was 14 years old. I spent months doing preparatory research and in deep cogitation about it before I finally felt that I was both psychologically adept and sufficiently knowledgeable to go through with it. I came out of it a better person and wouldn't change one thing about it if given the druthers.

 

slip it into his juice box at breakfast when he isnt looking then send him off to school. dont tell him he took anything let him find out after he gets sent to the nurses office.

When the CIA was experimenting with LSD, it's most dangerous encounters were with people who were unknowingly slipped acid. Could you imagine tripping out of no where? You'd think you've gone mad, that's when people who took acid jumped out of windows, and now that shit was spread as bad propaganda.

 

13, he's just going through puberty now, that's enough of a trip. give it a few years at least.

 

Problem with that is at 14, you had a 14 year olds perspective of being psychologically prepared. That will change drastically even by the time you're 15.
You haven't lived 2 lives so you can't compare yourself to what you would have been like without that experience. I'm not calling you a fuckup, but it's just not worth the risk.. especially with acid. Mushrooms are more grounded, they kinda lead you along a bit. Acid's totally unchained - you don't wanna be poking around in the deep corners of your mind at that age, could poke something nasty.
Besides that, my best friend started tripping at around that age and has only just realised the enormous potential of psychedelics.. Not that he hasn't got anything out of them, but he realises that he could have done a lot better.

Give it a wait.. psych's aren't going anywhere

There does exist 14 year old people with levels of maturity, intelligence, and education exceeding that of some 28 year old people. Of course a person will change as they age; through time itself, for all but the severely mentally impaired, a person both garners and renounces life perspectives, political and philosophical ideologies, among many other things. This is a fact applicable to adults, too.

I was a precocious child and my intelligence was nurtured both by my equally or more profoundly precocious siblings and parents. This instilled into me a maturity and perspicacity that most couldn't attain until middle age. This cannot be said of all children, naturally. I was only recounting an experience that I had that perhaps the OP's friend's little brother could also have, insofar as he is sufficiently clever and inquisitive enough to uncover what it is he may need to brace himself for. If he's not, then the decision of the OP should be obvious.

 

I took acid for the first time at 13...

...of course there was no internet full of hair-brained preconceptions about LSD to fill my brain with fear and doubt, and what I read at the library on psychedelics was pretty dry stuff, mostly anthropological field studies of the tribal uses of mescaline, psilosyben, very little on actual LSD. (Yeah I was a weird 13 yr old, I'd ditch classes, smoke weed, hang out in the library and read non-fiction...)

I wasn't 'seeking enlightenment' or 'probing the depths of inner space' or what not, I was just a bored kid lookin for some fun.
I got it from some older kids, they said it was 'swedish stamp blotter' and that I might not want to go home to my parents house for a while...then they laughed and split. I spent the entire trip by myself just walking around the fields and lake near my suburban neighborhood.

That day I discovered/ experienced the vibrational aliveness of everything.

Not just the plants and trees and frogs and fish and birds, but the rocks, water, the sky, the earh, the universe...myself... all vibrating together in a perfect blissful unison! The utter joy I felt in this oneness! The vibrational force that joins us all, The universal Aum!

It's taken a lifetime to capture the words to describe what was ineffable to me at the time.

So, removed from the social current of a normal 14 yr old, I became an adult very quickly in many ways...basically childhood over dude.

I haven't tripped in at least 20 years, but I haven't forgotten the Universal Aum...

try to feel it...

believe me, you don't need the acid....

...look at the natural world and will yourself to feel it.

 

That sounds great.
But it also sounds like a very unique case, even in a world without all the stimulus that kids are bombarded with today.

Most 13-16 year olds are borderline ADHD with all the high fructose corn syrup and exploding images they are born upon, and have little awareness of that, their most basic surroundings. Who knows - no one here knows what this kid is like or how he will react.

A kid could have an amazing time and learn a lot, or it can lead them on to other drugs because LSD was "cool"...or the first time could leave him totally numbed.

I wouldn't make any sort of gamble on that, especially with the odds favoring the latter two.

 

Shouldn't even smoking pot at 13. Seriously your fucking body can produce natural highs at that age... EASILY. Just...ya no. You're 10 years too early lol.

 

I'm not advocating or condoning drug use of any kind and I do advise against it.

simply a vignette meant to challenge contemporary notions.

 

Imagine your first LSD experience, and then picture that if you were 13.. enough said
