Finding Poppy Pods.

Hey all, recenty became very intrested in trying poppy tea since all my connections for dillys, oc's, etc. have moved. I've been researching trying to find a vendor with little luck. Are papaver
somniferum poppy pods easy to find for you guys? Also if I am able to find some how many pods do you guys typically use for one good experiance? Hoping someone can steer me in te right direction without breaking any rules .

SWIM used pods a bunch of times, so hopefully I can help ya out.

Firstly, pods are almost impossible to come by right now, last year there was supposedly a shortage or something like that and eBay stopped allowing sales of pods so a lot of places either gave it up or only sell to previous customers now. I've heard that some art supply stores carry them, but none of the ones in my area do...

Secondly - how do you take your OC's (insufflation, swallow whole, chew, shoot, etc.) and how much do you have to take to get to get fucked up?

Pods were great IMO. Especially when SWIM ran out of OC's, he could just throw some of these in some hot water and fly that magic carpet ride all day. Also, SWIM used their pods to make some really shitty opium. It technically worked, but SWIM had to smoke a SHIT ton to feel anything.

 

Theres still gotta be lots of people selling pods tho, i mean alot of people can find H easily, so you'd think if you look hard enough for pods you would find them. I've been looking for a month or two now and every source I find seems very untrustworthy or just dont have the right species. I dont understand why everyone would stop selling them just because eBay got banned tho.

OC's (how i miss those) always insuffilate, but when i had the new ones (NEO'S) I would chew. Havn't had them or any opiates in some time which is why im so intrested in pods. Normally with OC's id sniff anywhere from 20-30, and chew bout the same.

That's sounds amazing. May I ask when the last time was you were able to aquire pods?
I miss opiates so much im almost considering a codiene CWE... :S

I used to buy dried pods every month to make the stretch at the end of the month when some of my scripts would run thin or even out. These days my tolerance is so high it takes as you said a shit ton to do anything.
As Im typing this I am smoking some pod putty I just made up yesterday.I usually roll up thin strips and put it in a cigarette I roll in my machine.Im on the 3rd one and finally starting to feel pretty good,,one or two more ought to do the job.
I can usually only afford to order the 5 to 6 Giganthemums (or what most call jumbo or mammoths).If Im not mistaken only Somniferums are able to grow that big,so if you get those you know you have the right kind,and everybody Ive ever ordered from will tell you 6 mammoths but you will only get like 4 mammoths and 2 smaller ones.
Pods are still easily available,just very expensive in my opinion,though I never got in on the days when ebay sold em and they were cheap,Ive only been ordering for about a year now.
If you still cant Google some up PM me and I'll try to point you to some places Ive tried.

 

Ive come across that site before, but felt it the prices were very high and when i searched for reviews i found that more were negative than positive. Did you have a good experiance with them?
Were they pretty potent?
From getting 6 pods how many times could you get a buzz going with little tolerance? They might be worth a try though.

 

I've always gotten my package within 2 days most every time,3 at the most.They're as good as any place else I've ordered from,and they all seem to be about the same really,if I didn't know better I'd swear they were all the same person since they all do the 3-4 mammoths and the rest smallers, but since it's different states I doubt it lol.Scope out some of the others that sell the mammoths too,I dont work for any of them, and really cant say any I've bought from was any better than the other,its just I personally have used the one I mentioned the most.ALL are over priced in my opinion,just seems to be the name of the game now.
As far as how many buzzs per order,I cant really say on that because I've always had a pretty good tolerance from the time I've been ordering them,but I wouldn't think more than 2 maaaaybe 3 at the most.Just remember rule of thumb for all drugs,,start slow and low.If you make tea,I'd suggest trying just 2 mammoth pods maybe first just to see what happens,then try to go from there.And each order from each vendor can be different.I really dont like to suggest doses on anything tho,cause you never know,,,know what I mean.

 

When I was on like 25mg of oxy insufflated to get high, it took me i think 3 or 4 giganthemum pods to get high, but everyone is different. I was 6', 150lbs with a fast metabolism at the time.

I'd suggest you start with 2 and then if that doesn't work try doing the rest. But DONT use boiling water... What I would do is smash the pods into coarse powder (like oatmeal consistency) and then boil some water and once it's boiling take it off the stove for a minute THEN add it to the pods. Strain with a coffee filter (remember to squeeze all the goodness out of it!) and then add coffee cream and sugar to flavor.

God I miss pods. Good luck finding those badboys!

 

I've never experienced poppy pod tea myself, but I hear lemon juice or some source of citric acid must be added to fully dissolve the opiate alkaloids into the water. Try that next time, you might get a nicer effect .

any suggestions on how to grow them and how long it takes? any special needs for the plants?

 

actually, they are easy to grow. they take about 3 or 4 months, depending on the light and how long they are exposed to it. someone I met grows them in the southern US and they found that they grow way better during the winter. plant them in the fall and they are usually done by the time the winter is almost done or at the beginning of spring, but down in the south the winters aren't that long. Once they get a few inches tall, they grow pretty good. one thing though, they do not like to be transplanted. you can even use seeds from the grocery store and they will grow. have fun, be careful.

 

I appreciate the knowledge G. Do you think they would grow in a very northern region though where the winters are much colder and last longer?
I guess there is always indoor as an option as well though.

 

I've seen other poppies growing here dude. I'm also growing my own Papaver Somniferum Tasmanian strain as a tester in my back yard. They appear to be doing okay, but they're also smaller than expected. I'd go to eBay. That's exactly where I found my seeds. I'll tell you about the fruit they bear at the end of the season so it'll let you know if it's worth a go or not.

 

I've bought the pods online in the past, this year I resolved to try and find some myself. I have found 2 massive plots so far, easily enough to last a few months. They are just about in season although I think they will be bigger in a couple of weeks. I've harvested about 200 so far. I think a good way to prep is sticj the fresh pods in a coffee grinder until they make a paste and then mix with grapefruit juice. It really isn't too bad. I wouldn't do this with dried pods though, they taste disgusting. All my attempts to make the brown opium have failed, making tea or just drinking with juice works much better. Even my mum is a fan of the tea!

 

This is also something I am trying to locate a reputable source of...Hmm anybody in 2013 finding any decent ones?

 

That's my same exact problem. I've searched and searched, the vendors I have found want extreme prices for them, then when I do a search to read their reviews, many are negative (3-4 weeks delivery, wrong type, moldy, etc).

I'm still searching, and researching vendors, hopefully I can find one soon...

I'm from SC I've wondered about growing poppies too...however I know in my particular yard I couldn't grom them because there is no available space that gets adequate sun. I'm able to grow a type of spring poppy; but only in a small area.

I do know that poppies need full sun and don't like to keep their feet wet.

 

Guys, any legit source you guys can share for 2013? I am dying for some pods and ebay days are over Please look out for your fellow hipster:sunny:
