Shameless_Heifer hasn't been here in the longest time. It's her harvest and canning time of year. All hands on deck time. And she's the hand. She'll be back.

We started up a Hippie commune house listed under "Hippie" It's pattered after the blue house only huge and another story high.

I am here, I am well, well, as well as I can be under the circumstances.

There has been a whirlwind of events taking place in my life other then the tremendous canning spree I was fortunate to have been bestowed with. An abundance of The Fruit Of Thine Labor

I am just at the end of that spectrum and moving towards another dimensional flow of reality.

One of the Emotional Heart, the one that tugs and twists the every ebb of your Being. An emotion that proceeds all else and has more strength than any other emotion there is on this side of the other side.

What is this Great Emotion that drives us. What is this thing we cannot see but feel with such intensity it drives some, into the brink of madness. Yet at the same time is as gentle as a newborn babe, soft and caressing, melting the hardest heart into a a poll of sparkling Joy.

Unconditional Love is what it is. It does not ask, it seeks nothing but itself and is all consuming. It has no beginning, it has no end. A circle of eternal golden light. A mother's love for a child.

I drift back and recall the emotional roller coaster of dealing with the the heartbreak to discover my darlin' baby girl had cystic fibrosis. To live day and night with her suffering. We had a love so strong that the power of it is what kept us both alive. There was nothing that mamma couldn't fix.

As twenty five yrs passed quickly by and two beautiful daughters later, my precious one could fight no more and went to rest.

I stepped in as a surrogate mother it fill the gap. As time has passed my eldest grand daughter Sammi has brought forth a beautiful baby boy Caden. I have been the one to do for Sammi all her life, in the sense of being there for her at all times.

This Gift, Caden, is my heart. He is the diamond in my life ( besides hubilicious).
He lights me up with a joy that is indescribable in mere words.

This precious one has Torticollis which affect the neck muscles and causes flat head spots which a Cranial Helmet was ordered to shape his head. He is in no danger, it is not life threatening. It just grabs me and squeezes my brain.

I was present and on the job when he came into the world. I was holding his mama's legs to help her push him through and bring him into this dimension. I saw the doctor as he dug around trying to 'help' him out. It took a long time and a lot of twisting and pulling. I was suspect then and worried about his neck and head.

But as things go he did have problems with his neck.

Yesterday he got his Helmet. We had to drive 100 miles to get there. Dallas < shiver>
Everything went smoothly and so, Caden was fitted for his new fashion accessory. The doctor had vast experience taking the helmet off and on, his large hands could cover the whole thing.

It is not, however, that easy to accomplish for one who has only done it once or twice and was not orientated to the procedure. Sammi is finding it difficult to adjust to the method prescribe by the doctor, she is stressing bad and there by stressing me in her efforts to find a solution. The helmet has to be taken off and put back on every hour for the first few days. Not an easy task, esp for an inexperienced 19 yr old.

I have been busy between canning, getting Caden to his appointments, I have been raising funds for transportation back and forth to Dallas for fitting and to Sulphur Springs for Therapy. I AM NOT ASKING FOR MONEY. I have had a bake sale and a garage sale to raise the funds.

I'm just trying to depict a scene of what has been keeping me away from you all.

I have today. We all have today. Tomorrow is not promised. But if it doth occur I will again be on the road to get Caden to his therapy. Thursday I will reopen the garage sale, as we have an abundance of items left.

I am extreamly tired and in dire need of a vacation but I see it not happening for a while. I am needed and must use all the reserve I have. There is no excape from the heart.

Unconditional Love will fill my sails and I will be fueled by an endless source of energy until my task is completed and then may I rest.

I try to read but have had no time to comment. I miss you all. But I am here if you need me today. Maybe next week I will have a day or two for myself and some quality time for you.

Hey yuh'al, I finally got to where I've got access to a computer. I went back and read one of Ranger's post bringing up the question are we and others out there relevent to these new times?

To me the struggle has never stoped--- just the issues and the approach. The Blue Oak Street House started out providing safe haven for the tons of people coming to the Haight-AshburyThere were bare foot kids ripped off and looking for the San Francisco in all the media hype, pregnent women in need of support. Today the issues have have hightened poverty and the ensuing struggle for survival for far too many continues. Today HIV, addiction (more than ever) foster kids, predominately women, mental health, the people who have fallen through the cracks--- I've envolved with these kinds of issues for about twenty-five years as a client myself and an advocate. I went to college to find out why I was the way I am and why society is the way it is--- don't ask

hey cakes, mike bedell here, i lived top floor 1915 oak st i have been running through the back pages and have fallen in love all over again with you, ranger, kenney, steven, nabor, wild bill, buffalo soldier, mouseman and so many others. i sent you,ranger and kenney my brightest blessings, you guys are the glue. thank you for hanging in there. i have stumbled into this thread a few times as i read about what you all have done and what you all are doing now and what you all want to do for the future. i now feel at home once again and safe. the only good part of this 25 or 30 years of sepperation from you guys has been my involvement with a groupe of true hearted people called HARMONIC HUMANITY we help the homeless help themselfs through music. cakes i invite go on line, check it out, listen to some good music SINGING BEAR is my buddy and such a GOOD EARTH hearted man and musician. sorry i waited so long to say hello to you cakes but i needed to wait until my head was screwed on straight before i addressed you. but take it or leave it let the videos speak for mike bedell, it's my heart.

We are so happy you found your way. It gets so darkly out there when you're traveling to reach that place where love lives.

The wandering and the wondering if the wanderers were wondering about you as you have wondered about them.

I felt that. It is what made me stop to build in this little cyber world. I had been searching for my lost Tribe. I write a little and was writing my memoirs and stumbled into this doorway. The sign said Welcome to The Hip Forums..cool..I came on in and asked for a room and the rest is history.

I figured that if anyone else was looking they could google good earth and it would bring them here. There was nothing before here on GE online anywhere. What a tragic oversight that was.

To have done so much in community works, to have lived, laughed and cried with one another and called each other brother/sister. To have stood together for the good of the all. We were all in service to our fellow man, flying by the seat of our pants.

We blazed a trail through the universe, leaving our mark on one another's hearts. We were bound and bonded like a secret spiritual oath that time nor distance could sever apart. Instead we grew closer together.

We made a difference in lives and we changed hearts and minds, opening new pathways to start new beginnings for our brave new world.

A world of unity and brethren. A village within a vast city, run by Hippie hearts. A psychedelic movement of the expansion of the mind. A connection with Body, Mind and Spirit and the hippie way.

We were called by a greater force to unite and stand accounted for.It was a calling for the likeminded to bring about change in our society to benefit all human beings.

So as we made the adjustments we were called to make, we made a soul family of pioneers building roads and bridges to all facets of humanity.

Though we have been apart, living our lives and raising our families, still we are together in our Spirits. As each one finds their way Home there is gladness that fills the heart with a wave of nostalgia and brings the Love forward in a flood of emotion capturing the moment and preserving it forever.

We are all a link in the chain that lengths us together as one.

I'm so excited to be looking into my dear brother Darels eyes soon. He was a very beautiful young man the last time I saw him. It has ben thirty years or more sence then and that is why we are so lucky. We developed a love and a bond to each other back then with our hippie hearts that the love continued to not only exist but contenued to grow even when the people lost touch with each o+ther. I know that Darel is coming but I have no idea when. We have so much to catch up on and I'l be honest, I have never experianced this kind of love with another human. While I go through my days I spend as much time and thought on this wonderful event that is about to take place in our lives. I have made a pouch from swade for him and puting things in it that I want him to have. He sent me several photos of him in his full on native american atire. Wow. Today I made him a neckles that I'm sure he wil love and I already know how honored and proud I will feel for him wearing it. Wel it's 3 am here in the bay area so I'm going to sighn off. I will keep you al filled in. Each one of us are going to have many of these chance of a lifetime reunions of the heart that few others can even imagine. I think when Darel gets here I just relax intuet.

He said by the southern route. over to Bakersfield and then up Interstate 5.

It is Friday morn. around ii:30 am. I just got off the phone with Sag Darel. He went to San Francisco yesterday to take some pictures of 1915 Oak ST. He was going to knock on the door and ask if he could take some pictures of the inside when the owners pulled into the driveway. Darel filled them in on the history of the house with theChurch of the Good Earth. They had noi idea and let Darel inside to take pictures. He said it was wonderful and mind blowing to find Painter Jimmies painting still graces the wall in the dinning room. He was so excited and will be in touch soon with photos. GOOD GOING DAREL
