i may need to visit the hospital but is it safe?...

you see i have a urinary track infection every time i need to go piss it hurts so damn bad and im in pain and i feel sick
the problem is last week all i did was smoke weed every day just about so is it dangerous for me to go to the doctor? i know theyll wanna test my urine to see if i do have a infection.. and also i drank some alcohol lastnight not alot i never drink too much of that stuff but im sure its in my system too will i get in trouble for that if they find that in my system? im not too concerned about the alcohol its the thc im worried about... am i prety much screwed or is there a way i can still see my doctor? im feeling dizzy and sick to my stomach from this urinary track infection every time i get up from pissing i feel lightheaded and woozy.

 

They have non-disclosure agreements, which means they aren't allowed to tell anyone anything they find out, unless you are under 18 they can tell your parents. But they won't be testing to see if you have alcohol or THC in your system they will take a culture of your urinary tissue to see what kind of bacteria is there, that is all. Don't be afraid, even if for some reason they found THC in your urine, they most likely wouldn't even tell your parents that. Just go to the doctor, get fixed up, and feel better!

 

Ok thanks alot! yeah im 19 going on 20 and still living with my parents thats why i was kinda paranoid about that. this makes me feel so much better thank you ill see about getting an appointment with my doc soon so i can get some antibiotics or whatever he prescribes for me to treat my problem. thank you

 

Yeah, they will only be checking for infection. Get it sorted today you silly person. If it's an infection it is very unlikely that it will get better on it's own.

 

I find that you can be open with your doctors, tell them I smoke weed and I don't need anyone knowing that. If you can't trust someone that doesn't care then live your life with a urinary infection and piss needles all day. But seriously, get that shit checked, if you've been sleeping around it could be something much worse.

I needed blood tests and stuff before eye surgery and I was baked every day for years and had my blood tests and the doctor said nothing and then a few months back I had blood tests again for tummy pains and same thing again, smoked the morning before actually and he never said zip about it. I assume it'd of shown up but then again if the doctor is looking for an infection, they'll not be looking for thc.

I dunno though.

 

My sister is a PA at the VA hospital. I had blood work done, and I had smoked the night before my blood work, and 4-5 days later I got message saying they wanted to go over my blood work, I was freaking out, she said the only way it would show up is if they were looking for it. She said people who take morphine get drug tested so they are not doing other drugs while taking it or selling it. You should be fine I’m prow too infections in my urine and they never said nothing too me. I had an MRI done and I was worried about it showing up somehow, and it never did

 

get some Azo and drink some cranberry juice. might save you money..

so tired of people thinking doctors give one droplet of a flying shit about if you have weed in your pee/blood....for fuck sakes op is 19 fucking years old and should grow the fuck up....does she actually think the doctor will phone her parents and rat?...they dont even fucking phone people when they find leukemia in your blood...or cancer...

Drink plenty of water, and try to avoid alcohol and sugary foods for a while.

I am guessing you are female from your username, but if you are male you should also get an STD test, as UTI's are rare in men and more often than not a STD is mistaken for a UTI in men.

 

For a urinary track infection they will test for infection and the type of bacteria. Generally they give antibiotics and it should clear up.

Orison was right about drinking cranberry juice and you can also eat yogurt (to help for side effects to antibiotics and for future UTI's)
