nice idea that leads to an awful conclusion...yeap, facebook IS big brother. A new, improved, better kind of BB.

I'm thinking about definitly shutting my account down...or just stopping posting on it.

I think you can't completly delete it. It can be always activated.

  6. Somewhere on hipforums there are instructions to shut your fb account! I used it and I seem to be out of the system.

You can either delete or deactivate. Deactivation is temporary and your account can be retrieved (reactivated) at any time, while deletion is permanent.

Just go to the help section and type "delete my account" and an option will come up giving instructions on how to do so. In the instructions click on the link to delete and follow the simple directions.

As long as you don't log into your account within 2 weeks, your account will be deleted. If you log in before it's deleted, you'll have to go through the deletion process.

    FB is the  !

Delete is suspiciously harder to find than deactivate. They really don't want you to leave, it's rather creepy. I don't really have my personal information on my facebook, but I might get rid of it again if need be.
