My boyfriend and I have been together for seven months. We have a very loving relationship, we are like bet friends, and we rarely argue. When we do argue, it never lasts for long, because we don't like confrontation. We love each other very much, and always make sure to tell each other this. So, my problem is as follows: My boyfriend is very passionate, which I love, obviously. But, I always feel a little uncomfortable when he says I love you during sex. Can anyone explain this to me?
if the only time that your boyfriend says that he loves you is during sex then just maybe you would have cause for a little concern, but you've already said that you tell each other this all the time so that clearly isnt the case. please dont let this spoil your love for each other. might i ask, was this the case with a previous boyfriend who maybe only said this during sex and then the relationship ended, that could be the reason that you are feeling this way, and if it is, then remember that we are all individual, and your present love isnt your previous. does this make sense?
My past relationships didn't really mean as much as this one does. Without going into too much detail, most of my past relationships were basically just physical, and the partner always knew that, so they didn't say it. Also, it might be helpful to know that I've been used sexually, which messed me up quite a bit, and still affects me to this day.
sorry to hear that, does he know about this because im guessing then that may be why he tells you he loves you during lovemaking too because he does really love you. please dont let the past mar the future for you, i know its not easy to forget these things and put them behind us, but you have the future in front of you now with someone who is special, concentrate on that and just be happy. love is a wonderful thing, treasure it.
Perhaps you've answered your own question. Maybe you subconsciously don't believe him because of the lingering effects of your past.
