If you're asking what my criteria is here for what it means to be promiscuous, ersonally, I find people (men, as well as women) to be promiscuous if you've honestly been with so many people that you can't count them all or know all of their names. But people are different, and we have different views and meanings for thousands of words, not just this one. For example, I find one of my friends to be promiscuous because she slept with three men in one weekend and does not know the names of two of them. I have another friend who had a new boyfriend every week and slept with the majority of them. Having a boyfriend (or girlfriend) does not play a role in my interpretation of the word if you've got a new one frequently enough for it to be a casual encounter. pro·mis·cu·ous [pruh-mis-kyoo-uhs] Show IPA adjective 1. characterized by or involving indiscriminate mingling or association, especially having sexual relations with a number of partners on a casual basis. The number of people is not formally determined and is open to debate by individuals based on their morals, standards and upbringing, among other factors. If you're offended by what I think, then that's unfortunate, but honestly nothing I can do about the fact that our opinions vary.
